Hi everyone. My fiance and I will be getting married next year and after much thought and deliberation we decided that getting married in disneyworld was not feesible for us. However, we do want to make our wedding reflect our love and relationship. Disney is very special for us and we would like to incorporate some subtle disney touches. I have been looking for mickey head crystals to stick in my bouquet and centerpieces, kind of like hidden mickeys. However, I am finding it very difficult to find them.

Has anyone ever seen something like this? Or do you have any other suggestions of how to add a disney touch? Any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated :)

When we toured our venue it was set up for a disney themed wedding later that night.

I don't know what her bouquet was like but for centerpieces each table had a character name, ie Simba. On that table was a plush Simba. The coordinator said they were going to do a pass the napking game for each table so one person could win the plush animal. The place cards had mickey heads on them if i remember right.

She walked down the aisle to Can you Feel the love Tonight.

Cake was being set up and from we could see of it, it had hidden mickeys drawn into the piped design.

They also had a table set up of pictures of them with them at Disney over the years back to childhood, so I guess they were both wdw veterans.

Coordinator said they were doing their hm in WDW.

katrina1122-Thanks for the suggestions!

bellaminnie- I am going to check those boards out. thanks!

Have either one of you ever seen small mickey head picks for flowers or decorations? I saw some plain picks in a party store by my house....but none with mickey =(

There was a hidden mickey in the stem of my bouquet.

There was the same thing on the boutonniere but i don't have pictures of it.

Also check out the post your floral thread - i just glanced at it and right on the first page there are some bouquets with hidden mickeys.

For Disney themed centerpieces I have seen some brides on here use snowglobes which I think is a neat idea. For my wedding we are doing mickey silhouette pomanders. We aren't sure about the base we are putting them on but it brings in a fun whimsical effect. I think whatever your imagination can dream you can do.

bellaminnie- Those are very similar to what I was looking for. I also checked out the thread you posted and found some other ideas. Would you mind sharing where you found those pearl mickey's??

meggydoodle- Your centerpieces sounds very different. When is your wedding? Did you go to your florist? Maybe they have an idea of what kind of base would work with that idea. Also, if you have pictures i would love to see. :goodvibes

I got married at disney so i can't help you with where to purchase them, it was in my bouquet. I'm sure if you get some different sizes of pins with pearls on top you could probably wrap them around the stem with white material like they did.

Thank you! We are getting married on October 29, 2011 and our reception will be at the Belvedere in DAK. I don't have any pictures yet but I just had a conference call with my florist today and she will be sending me some pictures of the different bases to choose from and then a picture of something similar they have done for another wedding. Once she sends them I will be happy to send them your way. :thumbsup2

My daughter is taking the covered buttons from my wedding dress and using them to sew a couple hidden mickeys on to her dress. I thought this was a wonderful idea.

Three buttons and you have a Mickey.
