After looking at the options and reading the reviews, meal options don't look that great at the Disney Studios Park, So where do you guys eat on the day you go into the Studios park? do you come out of the park and eat somewhere else??

Thanks

We grabbed a quick mickey pizza and mickey brioche snack in the backlot express, but for bigger meals headed to the village or main park.

In previous years I would've said you don't, we had 1 awful burger type meal there first trip and haven't eaten in there since. But next visit Rendez Vous Des Star is on my list, reasonable reviews and I really hope to see the little Remi figure. :)

We didn't see Remi when we went in October but the food was pretty good. However the service I thought was a bit slack. There were plenty of tables that needed clearing and weren't.

We looked into all the restaurants in Studios and the only one that we liked the look of was Rendezvous, and having eaten there on two separate visits, it was very good - less junk food and more proper food although the menu was limited.

Both times they had options of small meals or more if you wanted it for lunch; I recall having a salmon fillet with rice - also there was pasta and vegetables. Food is served via an open style kitchen area that you queue up to although the staff serve you so you can't help yourself. Much better than a burger or fat laden fast food and was nice to have a change lunchtime.

Hello, we always tend to eat our proper meal in the evening and do this in the Village at one of the Restaurants. Through the day it's just a case of grave something on the move. Quick stop at one of the cafes or fast food places. If it nice weather, it is lovely to set outside and people watch.

On our last visit in October, the studios had altered a lot from the previous year and there seemed to be a few more eatery places.

Have a great time

We just grabbed a hotdog from one of the kiosks around and sat on a bench somewhere. The kids thought it was great as it felt like some kind of a (cold) picnic lol. We had our own drinks (ie water lol).

i would say just eat in the village or disneyland park. rendesvous is the only restaraunt as such. the rest are counter service

We like to watch the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show while eating a hotdog gotten from the stand outside Armageddon.

We generally avoid eating in the Studio's. There is no reason for this but it just doesn't coincide with our lunch times. We generally hit EMH until 9:45 then to the Studios for 10am, leave Studios's around Midday and head to the Village or Main Street for lunch.

We were going to try the Rendevous Des Stars in October but we just wern't hungry enough to warrant a lunch time buffet.

We ate at Rendezvous last week and it was very good. Remi came out at about 2pm, not sure if it's the same time everyday, but may be worth trying.

Unlike Nobby said though, we had to serve ourselves and there was no queues, so maybe this has changed :confused3

When we went in June, we didn't eat in the Studios, not quite sure how as we were there for a full day :rotfl: maybe we did and it just wasn't memorable.

Yes, Rendez-Vous des Stars changed to an all-you-can-eat buffet last year, or was it the year before.

My favourite places to eat in the Studios are

Rendez-Vous des Stars ~ a very enjoyable buffet and we were lucky enough to meet Remy twice!

Backlot Express ~ I love the theming in here and we've had nice salad baguettes and croque monsieurs.

Cafe des Cascadeurs ~ an original mobile diner that is the oldest of any of the Disney restaurants. When we went in the summer they were serving full meals but not sure if that was only because it was high season. If not, it's worth going for a hot chocolate and a brownie just to see the inside.

I don't really rate the food in Studio One although it's nice to sit and people watch while you're eating in there and we did share a couple of very nice pizzas once, not the child portion Mickey shape pizza but a stone baked one. :)

we alway eat at our proper meal at Disney Village and maybe just have some fries at the studios.

I ate @ Rendevous in December using 1/2 board vouchers for the all-you-can-eat buffett, which was self service after being shown to our seats.

We both much preferred here to Plaza Gardens the evening before (although it was nice to experience there as well)

The soup was so good, my DD had 2 bowls.
Plenty of choice of savoury hot food (also salads and desserts) but it was great to be able to eat a variety of "proper" food which meant I could give fries a wide berth.

The bolognaise sauce was really tasty, I had this with my pasta, while DD chose the meatballs in marina sauce.

I would eat here again without hesitation :thumbsup2

We ate at Rendevous yesterday and we all thought the food was lovely. You served yourselves and there was lots of choice. Remy came out at about half past two and then about three o'clock, a jazz band arrived and played for about half an hour. We all really enjoyed our meals at this restaurant.

Where is Cafe des Cascadeurs - not sure I've seen this on my Studios travels?

Thankyou all for you reply's,

I think we'll give the Rendevous a try, we like buffett style it's better for the vegetarians in the family. It would be nice to see Remy as well.

Hot Chocolate & a Brownie at Cafe des Cascadeurs sounds nice as well, might need one of those to warm us up in the late afternoon.

Thanks again for all the info :thumbsup2

really liked this buffet :)

we also didnt see Remy :(

Elaine, it's behind Armageddon. We didn't notice it until either our 3rd or 4th trip and that was only because Sandra (SandraVB79) mentioned it on here and we went looking!
