What is the best way to get from Disney Studios to Cape May for dinner? I looked it up on another site and it said walking is about 25 minute. Has anyone done this?

Yes, I have done it. If you walk fast it won't take quite that long. Beach Club is probably the furthest point to walk to, besides Epcot.

You can also take a boat from Studios. The boat ride will take about the same amount of time (you may need to add time to wait for the boat to arrive and pick you up). It will stop at the Swan/Dolphin first. I'm not clear on if you are looking for the best way or the fastest way. Which is the best way will depend on you and your group's tolerance for walking.

I'm looking for NOT ride a bus. Anytime we can ride a boat or walk, we take it. Our longest waits seems to be at HS bus stops.

There aren't any buses between Studios and the Epcot resorts, the choice is walking or the boat.

You answered that question. Thanks!!!

We would have been looking for a bus stop sign, if I didn't check.

We always stay at BCV and have found that walking is faster than taking the boat.

If you have a four year old take the boat. The boat would be much faster. The only way it would take the same amount of time as the first response said is if you had to wait for the boat for quite awhile. It is a strong 20 minute walk for us and we walk almost every day and really move it. It would be over a mile, and you have to figure in the heat. Do you really want to get sweated up?

Personally, I find the boat ride over to the Beach Club to be quite enjoyable. The water is beautiful and the trip is relaxing. And if the weather is pleasant, it is fun to sit outside in the very back. :cloud9:

Agreed! With a 4 year old (unless you have a stroller) it'll be much easier to take the boat. It drops you off right at Yacht and Beach and the boat ride is pretty nice. To walk you would have to go beside the BW, up a little bridge by the Swan/Dolphin and then you would get to Y & B!

We do take a stroller, but when I told the family about the boat - we are going for the boat.

Since we've never done it, we should all enjoy it.

Thanks!

We too like to walk and find it way faster than waiting for the boat. It is an easy pleasant walk and would not be bad with a stroller. However if the boat appeals to you, enjoy.
Have you planned how to get back to your resort after dinner? There will not be a bus directly from the BC to another resort. You will have to either take the boat (or walk) back to HS, take a bus to an open park and transfer to another bus to your resort, take a bus to DTD and transfer to a bus to your resort or take a taxi directly to your resort.
Enjoy dinner.

Getting back to POFQ, we are planning to take a taxi. We are starting at rope drop at DS then staying for the 3 pm parade then going to Cape May then going to the Boardwalk - we'll all be ready for the resort. We are hoping our DS4 will be able to hang with the plan.

A couple trips ago, we decide to use a taxi once a trip if necessary. Just to save time with your son. Last time we let him take an extra long nap and took a taxi to Chef Mickeys. It's saves us time and saves our son.
