We're driving down a day ahead and flying out of SeaTac airport. Was just wondering if there's any Disney Stores left in the Seattle-Tacoma area as we'll have some time to kill and how better to spend it then shopping :cool1: Okay, so hubby wouldn't agree but whatever...

And can you buy Disney Gift Cards in the store that can be used in the park? I was going to order some online so as not to be bringing so much cash but $25 shipping is more than I can stomach. At least if I could buy them in Seattle, it would help a bit...:woohoo:

There Is one at the Alderwood mall In Lynnwood just north of Seattle,I go there often. If I go In there and block out the noise from the mall I could almost Imagin my self In WDW disneyland:goodvibes. Have fun

I did...but they're closing so fast that I don't put a lot of faith in their list. If I'm sweet talking hubby to stop at a mall I want to make sure the store is there LOL

We go to the one at the Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood, WA) often. Not too hard to get to from the highway. Park on the side of the mall with the Sears, Borders, PF Changs and if you enter there you will be right by the Disney Store.

If the main reason for the store trip is for giftcards...just skip that. You'd be going well north of the airport (remember, the airport is halfway between Seattle and Tacoma, so it's nicely south of Seattle) and north of Seattle. I find it to be a pain to get to, and you have to time it perfectly in terms of traffic, lest you get caught in the nasty nasty rush hour nonsense that happens (and the rush hour goes both ways when you're north of Seattle).

Anyway, I would just buy them at the parks, first giftshop you go to. Just buy them with a card and have it all done.

At first I was confused by the shipping comment, but finally realized that shipping to Canada must be a bit different. Oh but wait...I see "This item cannot be shipped internationally" when I look at giftcards....hmm.

Another idea that might or might not work...shop for giftcards on disneyland.com, and use the Will Call option where you pick them up at Guest Services (I imagine) at the start of your trip? I know sometimes their site is tricky with credit cards from outside the US, but it might work.

:)

Thanks...yes, I think I'll just wait. We're not coming down through Seattle so don't want to have to make a special trip through town. I think they will ship gift cards to Canada...I had one in my checkout cart...but the shipping was $25!! Unless it comes delivered in a gold envelope, I'm not paying that for shipping :scared1:

Darn, was hoping to start our Disney experience a day early ... Instant gratification just takes too long :lmao:

I shop at the one at Alderwood also.
I have found that almost all stores that sell gift cards, have Disney ones too.
I bought them at Safeway, also saw them at WalMart.

I usually have to go to the ticket booths to exchange vouchers for real tickets and I get the gift cards at the same time. We always get in later in the evening so we head to DTD and shop/get our tickets so we're all ready for our first morning in the parks.
Where in BC are you? I'm in Mission!
