disney stores closing

Wow a bunch of stores are closing just read a update on the disney store facebook page..very surprised ...but hey some good deals will be there soon i bet!!

Which stores did you read were closing? I really hope they don't. I don't know where I would get my Disney fix before our trips.
Please do not close. especially the one at Vaughan Mills.

I hope none of the stores in Scarborough, or the one in Eaton's Centre don't close!

The Facebook site says the Canadian stores closing are::

Metropolis at Metrotown - Burnaby, BC
St. Vital Centre - Winnipeg, MB
Scarborough Towne Centre - Scarborough, ON

Looks like there's 24 closing in the U.S. too.

Oh no! The Scarborough Town Centre store is the one I always go to!!!!! It'll be so sad to see it go! ;_;

I think it will be some time in April it's sad for me especially since I opened that store working there in 1997 and I left about 2 years ago it was like a second home to me I will truly miss it. I think Vaughn is safe for now since it's an outlet store...they are saying they might turn it to an imagination store but only time will tell

That really sucks that they will be closing the Scarborough Store. That is the one closest to me. I hope someone on here keeps us posted if they hear a definitive closing date.

A friend of mine who went to New York City around Christmas told me the Disney Store on Fifth Avenue was closing on New Year's Eve. Man, if THAT one closes, what hope is there for all the other stores?

We were so sad when we heard our store is closing!!! Some pretty good deals right now, but I am sure they will only get better! The last day they will be open is April 23!

I think the last day the Scarborough store is open is April 24.

I am heartbroken about the Winnipeg store closing. We were there last night and I had no idea. It is such a fun shopping experience with my kids. I was able to talk Disney with the staff and get my fix between trips.

The World of Disney is closing but a new Disney Store is set to open in Times Sq.

My daughter is losing her job now at The Disney Store because of the closing. Very sad around our house because it will be gone. It's been a part of our lives since my kids were very very young.

I was at Scarborough yesterday and there is a sign out front saying that they are closing April 23 or the 24. I cannot remember exactly.

Vaughn was just changed over so it will be safe, Yorkdale was closed because of leasing issues. Eaton Centre is the "flagship store" so highly doubt it will close. They never even closed it for the CP refurb. I am looking forward to the "new" stores persoanlly. I used to work there (EC) and enjoyed all thing s Disney.

Bad news guys!
I was at Scarborough today and the girl who worked there told me that they rec'd a call a few days ago that they are now closing on Feb 7!
She said they will be having a liquidation sale soon but not sure of the date. I am going to call everyday to find out when it is starting, so I will keep everyone posted.
Also they just got in a shipment of the fancy Cinderella dresses regular $64.50 marked down to $17!!!!!!!

I was at the Scarborough Towne Center last night and they have started the whole store on sale now for 40% off...I got some good deals but they are going fast...i can't believe how much is gone already and i was just checking it the other day Good Luck to all hope u get some good bargins too!!
