The Disney Store lady did not know this, (thanks a lot) If I get a 4 or 5 day hopper at the Disney Store, those are upgradable right?? I have a $35 disney store gift card that I want to apply towards it otherwise I would not bother with going there.

I just want to know before I plunk down the $$ .And those are the REAL tickets right? I dont have to exchange them for paper ones or anything I just use those cards. I am ATTEMPTING to avoid doing anything the first night I am there. We are getting in late Mothers day and I want to avoid processing anything the first day or i would just buy AP's at the Disney store.

anyone???

Yes the tix you get at the Disney store should be upgradeable. They are regular park tickets and basically most park tix can be upgraded. But given my honest opinion, price around park hopper tickets before you go purchas them from the disney store. The disney store is very expensive and there are other places that you can get tickets that are much cheaper which also include early entry. Even check around at some of your local travel agents, they will have different prices for you.

But then I couldn't use my gift card if I got them someplace else.

The one thing the disney store lady DID say was the gift card could be used at Disneyland. Maybe I will just save that card for toys for the kids and get the hoppers at AAA.

6 of 1
half dozen of another
right??

Its all up to you as to where you wanna purchase your tix. If I were you I would save the gift card and use it for something else in the disney store such as a T-shirt or a toy, or like you said you can bring it with you to put towards something in the park. I just think you should shop around for your options. Saving money never hurts ;) I would love to see you get the best deal for your dollar.

I have found that Disney store tickets are the same price if you bought them online through Disneyland.com. The thing I like about the ones at Disney store is they are plastic and do not bend as easy as the paper tickets that most of the other places have.

I was wondering about that. WDW's passes are like a credit card...nice.

DL's are still made of paper, even when you purchase them through the Disney website?

Okay, when you purchase at the Disney Store, you get a plastic card that you can take directly to the turnstiles at the entrance and get right in. They do not need to be exchanged for other tickets at the ticket centers. All DLR PH tickets, regardless of where you purchased them can be upgraded to APs.

Thanks! I am going to buy my PH's from The Disney Store from now on just so I can have a plastic card instead of a paper one!

I am in the same boat. I was wondering how long does it take to exchange the tickets at the ticket center, say like next Sunday around 10am? I can get some discounted tix from my credit union and it could save me about $25, but I was wondering if it was worth it if I have to waste too much time in line...

Thanks!! I was thinking of getting them from AAA but now I may do a 5 day at the Disney store. Get this, I asked the AAA lady "your tickets are upgradable to AP's right?" her response was " hopefully" I'm like WHAT?? Don't you KNOW??

It really depends on the line. At 10 a.m. the line is usually a bit smaller than first thing in the morning. I have noticed lately that the lines for tickets are much shorter than they have been in years past - but then again, maybe I just am not noticing because I am not in those lines. . .

"Hopefully"?!? You want us to shell out our hard earned money on a "hopefully"? That's a pretty ambiguous answer!
