Disney Store - summer costume sale

For the last 3 years(that I know of) DS has had a costume clearance sale the first week of July. I know this because DD's birthday is in Septmeber and I usually get her some princess dressup clothes for very little $$$ (like under $10/dress) and put them away for her birthday.

Does anyone know if they are going to have the sale this year? I think will all the store closings, new return policy, etc that things have really changed.

When I was at the DS yesterday, the CM sid they were hoping to get the costumes in Friday. They didn't mention a sale.

Costumes were there today but not on sale.

I'm trying to figure out the whole pin trading thing, thinking if its DD first time at WDW maybe I should have a few pins on her lanyard to avoid a case of the "whines"... so I drove to the nearest DS - 35 min south of here... only to find out they dont carry them!!

However, I was pleasantly surprised at the Clearance sale, a whole kiosk thingy filled with $1.99 stuff!! DD picked up a lighted Aurora, a Bell ball that will surely drive us all NUTS (you bounce it it not only lights up but makes these incredible sounds - yeah us!) a velcro watch like thingy that holds those paper mints that are popular (why DD? I dont get eating flavored paper!!) as well as popscicle molds w/ candy in them and some other items - oh the fans!! LOL the one is a Buzz Lightyear battery operated fan that has a strap to go around your neck!! She picked up a Kim Possible shirt for $3.99 (it has glitter too!!)

All in all I was pleased with souveniers before our trip to Disney for $1.99!! (just wish I could sneak down there without DD!!)
