Disney Store shirts for kids

Disney Store has some great deals on Tshirts now and i want to buy some while they are so cheap for next year. I'm just wondering how the sizing works. My girls will be 2 1/2 and 4. I was thinking of getting XS for the younger one. (Says that XS is recommened for age 2-3) but I'm a bit uncertain what to get for my older girl. The S looks awfully big - not sure how much to expect her to grow over the next year. I suppose it's better to get on the larger side and have it roomier, eh? Right now (she's 2 1/2) the S looks like a night gown on her! haha But the XS fits her just right so I'm guessing by next year it'd be too small!

Do they shrink??? What's been your experience?

I haven't bought Disney Store shirts for my DD for almost 2 years as they seem to run really wide. When we went in Dec 06, DD was 7Y9M and DS was 9M. I found some matching shirts and bought a kid's medium (7/8) for DD and a kids XXS (2-3) for DS. Gheesh! That's unbelievable. Well I'm thinking their sizing isn't AS large anymore. DD (2 1/2) fits just perfect in the XS which says its for 2-3 yr olds. And she is a petite girl. She still wears 24mos clothes most of the time. But the S was FLOATING on her. I'm just not convinced that the XS which fits her NOW will fit her next year as well. I just don't know how much to expect her to grow in the next year...since she's my oldest I have no experience with that! haha

The only shirts I have been able to get that I know for sure fit are the few they offer in toddler sizes, 2 - 4t. I got these for an upcoming trip for our girls, who will be almost 2 & 4 when we go in december.

Last year, I got my 2 1/2 yr old dd, several xxs or xs shirts online, and they were so big on her, that I didn't even take them with us. They were very wide. At the time, she was wearing 2t - 3t size shirts.
They are finally fitting her well this year, and she is a 4-5 shirt.

WOW I'm wondering if their shirt sizes (online) run differently than in the store. I'm going to try the XS on my 2 1/2 yr old again, but it sure seemed to fit her fairly well right now. She's only 29lbs and 34" tall - not a "big" kid by any means.

Anyone whos' gotten their shirts IN the store? Maybe sizes run different??

My son is a small 2. He wears 18 months in most things. I just received his t-shirt from disney store online. I ordered a 2/3 and it is long enough for a dress. I hoping it will be alright by the time we go to WDW in Dec. Hope this helps.

Their shirts do shrink. I would always pre-buy for my sons as well. As a rule of thumb, I always buy bigger. They can always grow into it and will have it longer. Once it shrinks, that's it!

I buy the shirts at the store. My daughter will be 3 next week and she can wear the xxs 2/3. the shirts fit her just fine. she also wore them last year as well. she wears lasts years for pj tops.

The shirts bought online are different from the store shirts. Or at least some are. The ones in the store don't shrink much, if at all. they are also truer to size. I have one from online and it doesn't match up to the store sizes at all!

We have boughten a couple XXS small shirts. One of them that we bought was specifically a girl design. That one fit perfect when DD was 1.5-2.5. We also bought a Pooh shirt that I think had a boys cut. That shirt was MUCH bigger than the girls one. SO I would check to see what the cut might be to determine fit. I did not find that ours shrunk much.

Funny, we then bought a 2/3 at Disney and it was huge. It kept falling off her shoulders. Such a pain to try and get a good fit! Atleast we can wear the ones that were too big at a later time.

We have a Disney store by us, and I just bought some shirts for my kids. My DS (4) wears a 's' or 5/6. My DD (2 1/2) wears a 'xxs' or 3T. Both of my kids are very tall, and I think Disney shirts tend to run a little big. I can't tell you about shrinking, I have never put their shirts in the dryer.
