Disney Store Sale

I got some great deals today...I got my Nemo tickets. I spent $59 and got both of my kids 3 Disney shirts each, 2 beach towels, and beach balls.

The feeling is great getting ready for Disney.

I also got some great deals today- I got 5 tshirts for my kids, a tshirt for my husband, a Stitch bubble blower and some underpants for my 5 years old. Only $41! Nemo stuff was darling, but not 50%, and they did still have the promo for the Nemo tix if you spent $50. We were going today to see it anyway, so I didn't feel compelled to spend $50.

My son is a CM at the local Disney Store. He just started a couple of weeks ago...the sale is going good for that store..they are selling a lot of stuff at 50% off.

I got a nice t-shirt. They had a few adult items and are planning to add more. Someone was in there buying up stuff to sell on ebay..lol..

Plus if you have a Disney Club card, you get discount on top of the 50%....

The closest Disney Store is about 45-60 minutes away & I really
don't want to make the drive if I don't have too!

Although....it is near a Krispy Kreme SO it won't be a total wasted trip ......

If you are talking about the Nemo tickets The sign says while supplies last. The other stuff not sure but I think the sales typically change on Friday(at least here they seem to)

When I went yesterday to my local DS they did have the 50% off and some 75% off. I asked her when the sale was on till and she said 6-10-03 because that is when they are closing for a renovation. They will open back up around Labor Day. Anyone else here about this This was in the West Farms Mall in CT.

It is true that not all Disney stores are offering the Nemo tickets. Our store in Raleigh is not, and we were very disappointed about that. The stores themselves do not determine if they offer them or not, it is a Corporate decision.

jacksonsmom, I would suggest calling that Disney Store before you make that drive, not all Disney Stores have the same promotions going on at the same time.

We saw Nemo yesterday afternoon and then went into the DS. (Saturday)
I didn't see the Nemo ticket promo, and didn't see anyone receiving any. The store was busy though. But with most of everything half off, not surprising.
Adult t's were half off. Seems like about the only thing it didn't cover was DVD's and CD's. (What I really wanted anyway.)
I did buy a t-shirt and a stuffed Kaa, a few small plush Stitches and Disney Dollars.
I wouldn't have spent enough to receive the free movie tix anyway, since DD are not included. And with the L&S free tix, I could only use them at theatres I usually don't go to. (Not as nice)

Were the snowglobes included in the sale in your area? I made the trip to my local DS and everything was on sale BUT the globes. I was pretty upset.

At the Cherry Hill NJ store the snowglobes were 50% off. HTH.

Snowglobes were included in my local store in Wilmington Delaware also. I went again last night and got some more shirts for our Disney trip in December. We did get more Nemo tickets but when I left the store they only had 10 tickets left.

I did go to the Disney Store yesterday. I was so glad I did.
I was able to get a lot of nice stuff for our upcoming trip.
Ended up spending $80.00 so we also got the 2 Nemo tickets. YIPPEE we are seeing it again this Friday!

I didn't see any snowglobes or other fancy collectibles. I did see some movies but they were not part of the 50% off.

The only thing when I was going through the bag I didn't see one of the shirts I KNEW I brought, but wasn't on the receipt. I called the store & the lady remembered me & said the shirt must have fell behind the counter while the other stuff was ringing up because she saw it there after we left. She remembered it was ours (or we wanted it) because she remembered us talking about that shirt for my son, plus my son was being very friendly to her (even gave her a hug when we left) (such a flirt)
Anyway they have it behind the counter for me.
Only thing is I have to drive there today & I really don't feel like doing that drive. It's about 45-60 mins away!

Oh well, maybe I will find something that I overlooked yesterday

My DS actually scared me -- they had so much stuff in there it was a buying frenzy - you felt like you had to hang on to everything and be very cautious, stepping over people, around displays, squishing in between customers that were in line practically dividing the store in half. All beachwear/beachtoys/beachchairs was 50% off as well as ALL clothes/panties/costumes. There were a few things that were 75% off, hairclips, little purses and things. The whole time you were there the CM's were shouting 'spend $50 get two free tickets to Nemo!!' and when you got around the check out area there was a plastic tub on the counter full of little backpacks and they were yelling 'need a backpack?! Backpacks are only $5!!'. I spent my $84 and got out of there, only to find that they took my coupon for the 'free mini beanbag plush' and also charged me 1/2 price for it. I called back and the CM I talked to remembered me because the CM who checked me out was making a big deal over the coupon, almost to the point that she made me feel like a thief who'd brought in a fake coupon. UGH!! Anyway, the other CM told me if I'd come back she would take care of me - however, here I am at work today so she'll prob. be off by the time I leave here.

Another poster mentioned she'd preordered JB2 but didn't get her free tix -- at my store the pre-orders were not a qualifying item to get you to the $50 in order to receive your free tix.

I was so concerned over the MEGA sale that I said to the CM 'y'all aren't closing are you -- this sale is a little scary!!' and she said 'No we are not closing, this is our semi-annual clearance sale'. Still, I left there hoping they would not close -- we'll see.

Just got home from our local DS.
I purchased two snow globes a night gown, a t-shirt and a fleece sweat shirt.
I also received two more Nemo tickets.
Now how do I explain all these Nemo tickets to my husband???
I got two last week and we used them when the show came out on Friday. I am getting two more in the mail with my online order, and now todays tickets.
Huuummmm I think I have an addition to the Disney Store and sales.

Stopped in our DS today and found a Grumpy sweatshirt for younger DS and picked up a few of those lil tiny character tins that have little candies in them. My total was way high so I asked what happened to my 50% off. She looked at the receipt said well it should have done it automatically then she used a calculator and ended up giving me my total purchase for 70% off!!

The last day to receive Nemo free tickets was on Sunday, but they don't expire until 6/11, so if you got them, don't lose the use of them, just go before 6/11...how can you wait??? the movie is great!

I went to the DS last night and purchased a swimsuit, swimsuit coverup, beach towel, sweatshirt and lunch box with canteen (all Little Mermaid for my DD (2) for $37.00!!! I am so excited! My mom went to the DS today because she decided that DD needed the matching beach chair! She is going to be quite the fashion plate while we are camping this year!!

I went in there today thinking that it was going to be all picked over, and I still got a ton of stuff!! Snowglobes were included, but all the barbie sized Princess dolls and the boys Adventurer action figures were excluded, as well as the Nemo stuff. There were a few things that were even 75% off--itty bitty costumes (infants), some princess accessories, and any winter clothes that were left. Oh, and of course the pins! I saw them after I had already checked out, went back and bought 14 different ones for only $16 and some change! I only bought ones with Disney characters on them. None of the obsure ones.

I got 2 beach towels with beach balls, Disney for Kids by Kids (not on sale), mini belle doll with pony, Mickey Americana tshirts for the whole family (4), 7 kids print screen tee's, one long sleeve kids shirt, 2 pairs of kids sandals, Buzz swim shorts and matching shirt, and Cinderella costume. It came to 141.82 before taxes.

They were still giving away the finding Nemo tickets, with the coupon for a free t-shirt if you spend $50 or more.

Another interesting thing......I went to the Columbia Mall in MD, because I could have sworn they had a TDS. Well, there was no store there, but there were signs saying "new Disney store coming" and info about job interviews. Now, I'm wondering what the deal is. I'm surprised that any new TDS are opening with all the others that have been closing.
