Disney Store in my area closing!!

I am so sad the disney store in Albany NY is closing! It will be done in 6-7 weeks, its always a favorite place of ours to go and get stuff before our trips...I wonder where the next nearest will be now?

I spoke with someone at my local closing store ane they told me that the only one they are keeping open in CT is the one in Westfarms Mall. She wasn't sure what reasoning they had for it, since my local store actually made money.
I guess its off to the internet for the disney fix.

We have one at the Carousel Mall (soon to be call Destiny, USA) in Syracuse, NY.

I haven't been there in awhile, but the last time I was there, I didn't see anything about it closing.

Our store in Pittsburgh, South Hills Village Mall was set to close and they just found out this week that they will be staying open. I think it's so sad to see any of them close

The one nearest us in a smaller regional mall is closing too That's a real bummer for us, as lately under TCP they'd been having great sales on current merchandise. I really detest the internet for disney stuff--truly enjoyed going to the store.

From what I have read, the one in Carousel is staying. Looks like we are losing ours though in New Hartford (Utica area). Stinks! But we are only any hour east of Syracuse so will make the drive once in awhile I guess.

Since Disney took back over the Disney Store they decided to close a lot of stores. They just took back over May 1 and the stores that are closing just found out last week! The stores that are closing are already sold to a liquidator and everything in those stores will be clearanced out.

We thought the one in the closest mall to us was closing, but it just re-opened in a different part of the mall. Another mall close to m however did close - to bad, I like that mall better!
