It actually gained over the week. Don't forget, equities are investments for the long term. btw - make sure to visit a Disney Park, watch Disney movies and buy "old yeller" dog chow!

we were just wondering what caused what bad news happened to cause the large drop of over a dollar per day up to two dollars for the tree or four days last week we are long term investors investing for retierment we were hoping for finally a return to pre 9 11 prices and regaining the road to another stock split

Don't look at just one stock, look at the whole index. Lately its seemed there is no rational for the huge day-to-day swings we see. One day they say the market dropped because the price of crude oil went up. The next day they say the market dropped because crude oil prices went down. Look at the day-to-day fluctuations of a stock like Walmart. Did people suddenly buy less on Monday ? More of Tuesday ? The market jumps up and down everytime Greenspan opens his mouth or scratches his butt. Bottom line, don't sweat the stock price.

Don't forget the short term "day traders". Maybe 23 hour on-line stock manuvering may not be such a good idea after all.

You have to look at it in context of the entire market. If the market is soaring and Disney stock is dropping, that's a problem. If the whole market is on a downward trend and Disney stock is following, then it's not as big of a deal.
