Disney still does Diver request

Good news everyone. I just got off the phone wit the Coral Reef and yes they do in fact do the diver request with a personal menu and you can even order a cake from them. The man I spoke to said due to the number of request they now have an email that everyone can contact them and request for such a thing. Actually, it's probably restaurant in the email...restaurant is spelled incorrectly in your post. Just wanted to point it out before you got a million messages about how the email doesn't work.

Just wanted to post my experience thus far. I think that some things are just not meant to be. We are going to be celebrating my DD's 5th birthday at Coral Reef for dinner. I called a few weeks ago and left a message regarding the diver. No one ever called me back. After seeing this thread, I sent an email Sunday requesting information on the diver and a birthday cake. As of now, I have not heard anything back. Thanks for the email information, I will update if and when I do hear anything.

We also called and called, left several messages, then finally got ahold of a cm, got the email, emailed more than 3 weeks ago and still havent heard anything. Its our sons 5th birthday too! I do hope they respond but at this point I am not holding my breath.

I'm still waiting on them to email me back too. I hope they get a hold of everyone. The person I spoke to said they will get back to me, so I hope soon. We are leaving in two weeks.

Add me to the list! I called about 2 weeks ago and left a message for Debbie and haven't heard a word. We're not going until August so I just figured that was the reason why I hadn't heard anything. Maybe not.

Update to my last post. I received an email from Debbi today. YEAH!!. I sent pictures for the personalized menu and she is checking on the the diver. So, they must be very busy but they did get back to me. Good Luck to everyone else who is waiting.

We are also celebrating DS 14th at this restaurant in Aug. I thought this would be a cool thing to do. What are some things you have included on the personalized menu? Also, does the diver just hold up a sign that wishes the person a "happy birthday?"

This is so interesting to me! I would love to have a personalized menu or a diver who holds up a sign. WOW that would be a wonderful surprise for DH! He's been such a good sport about our 10 days-o-Disney coming up, plus another cruise booked before we even take the first one..

He's a good guy and it would just be nice to let him know that in a special way like this! We won't be going until November- but I am already thinking of booking this for our Day 1 ADR!!

I emailed Coral Reef on Wed and heard back yesterday. Unforunately, my ADR time (7:45) is too late to have a diver, but I can get personalized menus.

We just emailed this morning in hopes of getting a menu and diver for our 9-16-08 ADR! I know it is early, but I wanted to see if it is even a possibility! I will keep you all posted!

PS: Has anyone ever ordered a birthday cake while dining at Coral Reef (small one, we are only three people)? If so, was it personalized? Pretty? Could you customize it at all? Thanks!
