not sure if anyone has asked this- i tried looking. we are staying at Contemporary in August, is there Transportaion to Disney Springs? Or do we have to Uber?

There is bus transportation to Disney Springs from the hotel.

It can depend on the resorts. Many times, Beach Club and Boardwalk resorts will share buses to all the locations, not just Disney Springs. All the resorts do have buses that go to Disney Springs. Typically, you can not go to Disney Springs directly from the parts (e.g., Epcot) as Disney does not want folks parking at Disney Springs and taking the buses to the parks.

Bottom line, the bus service to Disney Springs is no different than buses from the resorts to the various parks.

Just wondering if they have restarted the buses from the parks to DS again? They used to start around 4PM and would take folks from the parks directly to DS (and back) in the evenings - presumably for dining and shopping.

The Contemporary shares a bus with the Wilderness Lodge. The bus stops at the Lodge first on its run.

The have not. From any Park Guests will need to transfer to a Springs bus at a resort.
