Disney Springs Restaurant Recommendations

I see it’s been a while since anyone posted, but I just wanted to ask if anyone has tried Summer House on the Lake yet? It’s newer at Disney Springs and I’ve heard good things about the vibe and food. I'm planning a family trip and would love to hear if it’s worth a try or if you'd still stick with an old favorite like Homecomin’ or Boathouse.
We were very excited to try it in March and ended up extremely disappointed. We'll likely give it another try in the future, but we were seated almost 45 minutes late after our ADR, our server was very disinterested, the food was slow and not as good as we hoped, and it was just so incredibly loud inside - we could hardly have a conversation. It was obviously a busy night when we were in, which is why we'll try again in a couple years. But I know we'll be sticking to our DS favorites our next trip.

This was our exact experience as well. Had to be the slowest service ever and our waiter barely came back....never asked us if we wanted any more drinks or refills. Maybe just a bad night but with so many other places that we love its hard to think about going back.

We will be going to Disney next year and always enjoy Disney Springs but find ourselves going to the same restaurants. Are there any underrated or new restaurants that we should try?
We really enjoyed Jaleo and also Raglan road!

Boathouse is pretty good, STK has the best happy hour on Disney Property if that is of interest

I had similar disappointment as others for summerhouse. We ate there when it first opened and it was very good. Recently took a friend because of the positive experience I had before and it was extremely disappointing. Food was mediocre at best, service was not very good, seating felt cramped, and for the price we paid it was a bit of an embarrassment after I raved about it previously. I think I’ll skip this one in the future visits.

>Same experience at Summer House; mediocre food (I mean, it's not bad, it's just that for the price it also isn't very good), inattentive service, and LOUD.
>We love Jaleo and would eat there every meal if I could afford it, hahaha.
>I prefer Boathouse over Paddlefish but both were good. I think I prefer Boathouse's atmosphere, although when we took the 8 year old to Paddlefish we asked for a window table and he was fascinated with watching the water and Amphicars. He also said it was his best meal of the trip- and I have to agree, the kids shrimp with alfredo was lovely.
>Morimoto was very good, but a limited experience as I was dining solo and sat at the upstairs bar. However, food was great and bartender was attentive and amusing.
>Polite Pig is great but only if we can sit outside, preferably, at the bar. Otherwise it seems to be just more BBQ (which seems to be Disney's trend these days... for a while it was Italian, now it's BBQ).
>City Works was a surprise find. To start... awesome selection of craft beers. Food is solid, good portion size, and for Disney the prices aren't terrible. It's also one place we've been able to walk up to and get a table without a painfully long wait.
>Raglan Road used to be better, IMO. We'd go every trip to see and talk with the dancers (DD was a professional dance for a few years) and that was ALWAYS a highlight. In fact, we went when the dancing was just returning after the pandemic and the dancers were so wonderful to talk with, so appreciative that we appreciate their art and what they went thru during Covid, etc. It was great.) Anyhow... it's loud, of course, so be prepared or bring your earplugs. The food used to be great but the last few times we went it was hit-or-miss. Can't remember the actual dishes, but half of the table was really satisfied, the other half was of the opinion that the food was fine but they weren't interested in taking the leftovers home. We haven't been in the last few years, so this might have changed.

We are in the minority and do not like Homecomin'. Its just so heavy. And the breading on the chicken is very thick. We've tried 3 times and can't get on board. Raglan Road is a MUST. Every visit. Great food. Great entertainment.

We had a very good meal at the Boathouse. I can't believe that it took us so long to finally try it, but we will be back. The food and service were excellent! We've always had good meals at The House of Blues, too.

I just ate at Summerhouse 2 weeks ago for the first time and it was soooo good. Can't wait to go back. It is pricy for sure but for once and awhile it was def worth it.
