Disney Springs resorts

Couldn’t you still do that now when the guard denies entry to the car? They have to pull through in order to exit the lot and get back to World Drive.
I’m pretty sure the rideshare drivers are aware of the policy and might not want to jeopardize their ability to drop off at WDW by allowing their riders to do that. I also suspect the guard could call Security and have them intercept the guests.

The real question is, why would you want to jeopardize your safety, just to save a few minutes’ walking time? ETA - just realized this could be misinterpreted - should have said “someone” and “their” instead of “you.” Meant a generic “you.”

The bus shuttles were great they give you the times of pickup from hotel & parks. They had a Disney Shuttle when we went in June and have it listed on current bus shuttles on the Drury Disney Springs website. so, unless changed I go in a week I can check. I get to book my multipass on 9-4 so I will let you know how we fair.
So, I was able to book my multipass for Sat sept 7 yesterday we are doing animal kingdom we got safari Everest & kali river ride all good times I could have bought ll for FOP but decided against it we are rope dropping anyway to do a full day and get to all the rides all day.
Contacted Drury they do offer shuttle to MK and it runs late on party night which we have tickets for Sept 6

Just to clarify... Disney Springs hotels are different from Good Neighbor hotels. The Disney Springs hotels do get Early Entry privileges. Good Neighbor hotels are essentially a AAA rating and have a WDW kiosk or desk in the lobby but no other particular WDW perks.

What other Disney springs do the multi pass?
Lightning Lane Multi Pass (LLMP) is available to all ticketed guests regardless of where they stay. The 7-day pre-booking is only available to guests at WDW resorts, Swan/Dolphin/Reserve and Shades of Green. Everyone else can pre-book LLMP at 3-days prior to 1st park visit.

so the only perk Disney spring hotels get that is different is early entry?

Disney Springs hotels do have a dedicated shuttle service to the parks; check with your hotel because it may need to be scheduled. And the Early Theme Park Entry benefit. That may be all. There isn't much in the way of perks for onsite WDW resort guests anyway, so not much to be extended to other hotels.

Disney Springs Hotels are of the category "Official Walt Disney World Hotels".

We'll often post that they are not Good Neighbor because they are distinct categories with their own "perks". Too often social media will infer the Good Neighbor hotels get perks they do not get and it gets confusing. I would hate for someone to book Good Neighbor and not get anticipated perks.

Usually Disney Springs Hotels perks are listed on their website https://disneyspringshotels.com/disney-advantage/.

I feel like some things changed after COVID, like the structure of the bus system, but not much.

Again my bad I used wrong name. I will definitely use correct from now on. Been traveling for years so some of the newer terminology fails. I still say old hotel names lol!

No not a big deal ~ more for clarity for all so they don't expect perks at those hotels.

I hear you, how many of us still say MGM Studios? or Downtown Disney?

"B Resort" (no more) is on it's 3rd or 4th name, I still call Wyndham hotel at Disney Springs Grosvenor.

Just for fun - the legal name of the Wyndham is “HCP Grosvenor Orlando LLC.” After the owners acquired the property in 2006, then embarked on a multimillion dollar renovation; because the hotel’s reputation was so poor, they changed the name.

Around the same time, Blackstone acquired Wyndham. All they wanted were the physical hotel properties that were owned, and they sold off everything else - including the Wyndham branding and franchise agreements, etc. So the Buena Vista Palace was deflagged from Wyndham and thus the Grosvenor’s owners signed an agreement to take on that name.

Blackstone group later acquired the whole Hilton Corporation, which the former Wyndham properties that they kept - including the Buena Vista Palace - Hiltons. The then-Downtown Disney Hilton owners (majority owners of the Swan and Dolphin) became upset and Hilton acquired that property to settle grievances. So both Hiltons in Disney Springs are among the few properties that are corporate owned.

I love these rabbit hole stories. Thanks for sharing.

Too this day we call Wyndham the "GROSS-venor" after a less than stay.

IMHO Dis springs hotels have the best perk of all,a quick walk over to Disney property! I like to fly in and not bother needing a rental car. Easy peasy and it's why I like the locations along that street.

When you do this do you take the mears bus? I’m thinking of not renting a car this time.

from airport? you can take a mears bus yes, or I prefer Lyft or Uber to get to hotel.
ok thanks. We have always rented a car since DME stopped. I will look at the Uber/Lyft prices last time I checked they were so pricey I might as well have rented a car (so I did lol)
