I have never posted a trip report but felt one was needed for our parking experience at Disney Springs.
It was with some trepidation we decided to head to DS and park there. We were used to parking in the lots near the Christmas shop. We knew we would have to brave the parking deck. Right now only the Orange deck is open, located near Cirque. The overhead signs approaching from the east along Hotel Blvd were quite clear. as we entered the parking deck there were additional signs informing the access to the 'bridge' to DS is located on level 2. We chose to park on level 1 (thinking we knew better). We should have paid attention to the signs. There are stairs, escalators and elevators to level 2. Since we use ECVs we took the elevator up 1 floor. Easy peasy. BUT...once we crossed the bridge we needed to take another elevator to the ground level and onto DS.
The exit from the parking deck is not well marked. Disney needs more signs indicating where exit was. Once out there were 2 directions we could go. We choose the Hotel Blvd direction and were dropped into very heavy construction but with little impedance to traffic flow.
Once everything is done it will be an impressive engineering feat. Already quite a change for the area. I am impressed. I think Disney hit this one out of the park.
