Downtown Disney is officially gone, as of today it is officially Disney Springs. I know it gets a lot of abuse, but I like the Disney Springs concept. I am also liking what I am seeing of it, and can't wait until Feb when I actually get to see it first hand.
I only remember visiting pleasure island once, and it was a decent experience. Then one other time we went to Downtown Disney and it was ok, but with the rotten, dead former pleasure island ind the middle, it was kinda a mess, with no plan. Now it is coming together, and seems worth a visit again.
The most exciting part of it, is the ability to have a decent meal, with many options, without having to go into a park, and without the extremely long process of getting to another resort from your resort only using buses, or paying for a cab.
