Disney Springs hotel ADR and FP+ question!

We have booked the Doubletree in Disney springs. We get to make our FP reservations 60 days in advance, but can we make them for the entire length of the trip that day, or do we have to get up each morning at the 60 day mark to book?

I'm getting ready to make ADRs next week and just realized I cant make them for the entire trip at the 180 mark like the on-site hotels. Now I fear the same will be true with FP +. If so, I may consider switching to an on-site hotel.

I just learned this when booking for Oct. I thought I would be able to do ADR at 180+ but apparently that isn’t a perk. So you will have to do it daily. I had no problem getting what I wanted each day.
I also had a Disney Springs hotel before and I could book at 60+ for each day I was staying there on day 60.

Right. I'm not sure why they don't just go ahead and allow that as well, it's certainly easier to get any ADR at 180 days than a lot of FPs, but that's the rule for the partner hotels.
Each hotel that isn't Disney owned has to pay money for each "perk" that they participate in.
I expect many "partner" hotels don't see enough of a benefit to their bottom line in order to include all of the Disney amenities to their guests.
For example, they might not have their hotel booked 6 months in advance very often. (I get emails about the DS hotels offering deep discounts for last minute trips OFTEN. Disney rarely offers better deals at the last minute than you can get from booking more than 3 months in advance). Keep in mind that the DISboards is still a VERY small sub-section of Disney guests. MOST Disney-goers aren't even aware that you CAN book dining 6 months in advance, let alone the extra amenities they would get for each possible hotel. Of the ones who do know, only some of them will care, and even fewer will want a particular meal enough for the 180+ to make a difference. Lots of people, even seasoned DISers, don't plan their meals until the day or week of.
Also, the 180+ has become LESS valuable with the introduction of FP+ since you could end up dropping a carefully selected ADR after finding out your FPs.

Fastpasses are different. More (if not most) people know of their trip plans at 60 days before a trip and more and more people are aware of prebooking FP+. If a hotel doesn't offer the 60+ option, then the number of people who won't book there likely will be significant, especially for the hotels connected to Disney Springs, where a higher percentage of guests are there for Disney specifically.

That makes sense. It seems like something that Disney could throw in as a bonus since, as you mention (and clearly I agree), it's not really much of a perk anymore. It's one of those things that I prefer to do once for my entire stay at the onset, but often change several times after the fact. On the occasions that I have stayed in a Disney Springs hotel I just didn't bother until I could make them all at once.

It might be enough to push someone over the edge to stay in a Disney owned hotel vs. somewhere else though. Really, it hasn't changed, and if it Disney didn't throw it in before, when prices for their hotels were significantly lower, there isn't much of an incentive to throw it in now, when people are paying more than ever to stay on the Disney property.
