Recent Visitors...what do you think? Drive to Disney Springs and park? Or take Disney transportation...the pictures of the construction look kind of scary.

Thanks!

I was there last month. The traffic in the area is a hot mess beginning mid/late afternoons. If it were me I'd take the bus.

I always take the bus, not really much different than going to one of the parks. I did notice what looked like a lot of people walking in from a distant parking lot so i'm not sure driving really gets you anywhere near where you want to go

We are wondering the same thing . Staying at Polynesian, is there a bus direct to Springs?

Yes. I'm not 100% sure about this but you may stop at another MK resort and possibly Typhoon Lagoon (if open) along the way. You won't have to make a transfer.

I was off-site and had to drive. I'm still getting used to a different, larger car and found driving VERY stressful.

I took the bus two weeks ago, mid-day from The Dolphin, and was the only guest on the bus! The bus drop off is near the Christmas Store walkway.

We drove there a few evenings later and traffic was a mess. At least there are message boards in the parking garage to alert you to empty parking spaces in each row.

We went to disney springs twice this past week and drove. I was a bit scared from all of the forum talk, but didn't run into any problems getting there or finding parking spots. We went at 10am and at 3pm.

There is a bus from the Pop Century resort to Disney Springs and back, right? I have the same question about which is better, driving ourselves or taking the bus. Does anyone know if that route stops anywhere else?

We drove - the way to get into the big parking garage is funky - you go off to the right up a big ramp and then across a bridge -once in there the parking lot is very easy to use. I don't like parking garages in general but I do like this one. It is light / doesn't feel dark and creepy. The ceilings are higher than normal and you can easily tell if there are spaces in a row. It is a walk over to the Marketplace area (which is where we usually like to go) but it is a nice walk. I like to drive and don't like waiting for the buses so I can't comment on the bus situation.

Depends on where you are going. The buses drop you off at the marketplace and the garage is in west side (so a long walk to marketplace and back).

I would do the bus personally, but we are bus people since in the end its just simpler for us.

Yes, there is a bus from Pop to Disney Springs. It will also go to Typhoon Lagoon up until 2:00. Absolutely take the bus. It drops you off near the Christmas store. Have a good time!

The only bus stop right now is be the East Side (World of Disney)

I believe they now have a water taxi service to different Springs locations.

When we were there in May, you could take a water taxi from the Marketplace to the West Side (but only when the weather is good -- we walked to the West Side and planned on catching a water taxi back to the Marketplace so we could take the boat back to POFQ, but there had been lightning about ten miles away, so they shut all the boats down and we walked back to the buses instead).

Drive yourself the parking garage is awesome and you avoid all the bush drama that people have seen in these boards do it you won't regret it

There's nothing more frustrating than wait times and other unnecessary frustrations while waiting for buses while you can take yourself go in the garage get your car and zoom out to where you have to go!

When you come back please tell us all about the great time that you've had

If you can take the bus, I would. Was there Last night (drove as we are offsite) , garage was full - driving was stressful.

I had good experiences two weeks ago driving there **during the daytime**. It looked to be much more challenging at night.

Watch the road signs very carefully - if you miss your turn, it may be a lot more difficult to get back.

We drove...during the day and parked in the back of the West End. Plenty of parking there, away from the bus stops and the main construction drag. Now night time might be a different story!

The new ramp into the parking garage has made driving to and from Disney Springs so much better than before. The walk is longer than I'd like, but there's also the boats across lake to Marketplace and a pedestrian bridge, so you don't have to walk ALL the way around anymore.

We stayed at bonnet creek this year and had a rental car and I actually LOVED driving everywhere, including disney springs. I much preferred it to waiting for busses, which I found exhausting. I felt more in control of my schedule.
