Just curious how parking is at Disney Springs? Or would it be easier to just take a bus there?

Driving from where or taking a bus from where ?

Use the free new parking garage ...... that leaves you at the " balloon " area with the choice of walking or waiting for the boat to take

you to the Disney Store .

We hated driving and parking in that area. It's just such a mess with all the construction and the garage is at the far end, so if you want to be near the other end you will have quite the walk. To me it would be easier to take the bus if you want to go there.

They have the giant parking garage open on the West Side (where AMC and La Noubia) is, and if you get off from I4 one side actually takes you right to the garage. The boats are running every 20 minutes from each dock station to move people if you don't want to walk back and forth. There are now 3: one behind House of Blues, one behind Jock Landry's, and one on the far side of Rainforest Cafe that shares the pier with the boats going to the resorts.

The buses will take you to what used to be called The Marketplace, right at the side entrance by Art of Disney and the Christmas store.

Driving isn't bad to me, but I know my way around, and I didn't mind the walking. Then again, it was a cooler day and I took the boats to the far side and walked back. If I was doing some serious shopping and taking stuff with me, or going somewhere else afterwards then I'd recommend driving rather than squeezing or bus hopping.

Jock Lindsey's (Landry's runs the Rainforest et al)
 I knew I had the name wrong somehow but couldn't remember the second half!

and still is! :)
is it? I keep expecting a name change every week! :jumping1: Then again, when I was first there I went for The Adventure's Club then the nightly New Year's Eve.

Comparing apples to orange juice? :tilt:
I will be the first to admit I dislike the buses. :crazy2: It's wonderful they take everyone everywhere, it's wonderful that they're an option for onsite guests, but even when I stayed onsite, after the first couple of trips I rented a car. I need a bit of space after queues and crowds! Lol :car:

However, I have family and friends that only use Disney transportation when they stay. Even when we'd meet up for trips, they'd meet us at the parks. To each their own! pixiedust:

we normally drive it......but if we both want a few drinks, we will bus.

We parked in the parking lot and it was easy to find a spot. This was the Saturday after this last Thanksgiving - so going in the morning helped us but it was mobbed that day so not exactly low crowds even when we got there. We quickly realized the walk would have been a lot shorter had we parked in the garage. So - I agree - park in the garage!

Similar question:
I'm staying at AoA. First day going to AK followed by 6pm Cirque Du Solei at DS. Would you recommend that I drive to AK and then to DS or take the bus? If I understand correctly, there is not a direct bus from AK to DS.

I don't think there are any routes between the parks and Disney Springs. If you wanted to take the buses, you can hop on any resort bus (probably want one that gets you close to DS like Saratoga Springs or Old Key West) from AK, get off at the resort, and then wait for the DS bus. Could be fun to see another resort! Of course, you'll need to budget quite a bit of time. Personally, I'd consider going back to the resort to rest a bit before heading out to the big show.
