Hello! I'm planning a surprise vacation dec. 13-17 and with out family of 6, it looks like The Doubletree by Hilton near Disney Springs will work for us. I am getting a quote of 130.00 a night for a total of 586 with taxes. Should I book now or do you think the prices might go down? Also, has anyone stayed there and have any reviews? Thanks so much!

several people have stayed there. for a week in Dec that is a pretty good price. Unlike most places Disney and the area around it - generally go up (less they have a bunch of empty rooms) closer to the date.

you can get a better rate but with skyauction they won' guarantee a 2-bedroom or they charge you more for it.

If you book through disneyspringshotels.com, you get free parking with their promotion. Otherwise, it's about $20/day. Also found out, the breakfast price is for one adult and one child under 17 (recently changed from 12)

I have stayed there and I would suggest checking Mousesavers.com for better rates. The parking cost is crazy in my opinion (assuming you will have a car). We like the Doubletree but if I had to choose, I preferred the B Resort.

For your size family this is a great choice. Good price for December, especially if you are doing the offer PP mentioned for Free Parking. I don't think you'll find it much lower.

The living space is big, both rooms have large windows so you don't feel closed in. And you are at Disney Springs with a good bus system that can save you on Park parking. You get a dining table with four chairs but if you ask they will bring more, we have gotten more. The kitchenette space is big and we bring along our own breakfast stuff, drinks and sometimes lunch items.

Even with the free continental breakfast, it is an awkward setup so we stopped trying when waits for a table were an hour long. It's too small for the hotel, they seat you like table service so you must wait for a table and they bring you juice and coffee. My time isn't worth it so we eat in the room now.

The suites were fully renovated a few years ago and they did a great job. Very well appointed.

This will always be my top choice for Disney Springs if the price is right. I will also stay at B Resort IF I get the parking & resort fee waived, or the rate is SO low that at least one of them are gone. (Have also stayed at Hilton, Buena Vista Palace and Wyndham Garden under another brand)

That's a good price. If you can, make the reservation (I think they'll want to immediately charge the first night's room and tax on a credit card), and keep checking for better deals. Definitely look into getting the parking fee waived by checking rates on those other sites (ridiculous to have to pay to park at the hotel at which you are staying and already paying for!). Go to Mousesavers.com and find their corporate code and see what that brings you. The code works for anyone because it's made for anyone who books through Mousesavers.com. :jumping1:

Like HopperFan, this is my favorite of the Disney Springs Hotels. If you search for "DoubleTree Suites" in this forum, you can read more opinions about the hotel.

As for the price, just do not book a reservation that it non-refundable. Then, periodically check rates as the trip gets closer. The Disney Springs Hotels Marketing Association typically does a winter promotion every year. That won't appear until later this summer. Total guess, but for those dates, I'd bet that you'll be able to eventually find a rate lower than $130/night.

Marketing Association: http://disneyspringshotels.com/

You may have already found that, as the $130 rate is what they're offering via that website. But, definitively keep checking Mousesavers, too.

If you haven't, make sure you join the Hilton Honors Frequent Guest program. It's free and you'll earn points that can be redeemed later for room discounts or even free rooms. To earn points, you must book with the official Hilton (or DoubleTree) website. Any links from the Marketing Association or Mousesavers go to the official site. (Booking as an online travel agency like Orbitz or Expedia will not work.)

I tried booking through the disneyspringshotels website, and adding the mousesavers promo, and although it looks like the reservation is fine, a person from the hotel informed me that only one of those discounts will be applied - can't have both. We were trying to combine the free parking from disneyspringshotels website with the free breakfast from mousesavers.

:worship:You guys never fail to amaze! Thank you! I haven't even seen the free parking deal. The parking prices were bumming me out, so that would be amazing! Finding a hotel for 6 people isn't always easy, and certainly not always affordable. Thanks everyone!

We stayed there our first time at Disney and it was great! My only recommendation is that you bring/rent a car. Their bus is so so. That seems to be a good price. If it drops, can't you cancel and rebook? Have fun!!

Where did you find info about free parking? I don't see anything about it. Thanks

My understanding is that you would have to book a rate that includes *both* the free breakfast and free parking. If there is such a rate, it will specify this. Not sure how you were able to book two rates (I never booked on disneyspringshotels.com).

When booking on disneyspringshotels.com, there is a spot for the group code, so I put in the mousesavers group code and it was accepted. However, as I said previously, when I spoke to the front desk at the hotel, they said even though the reservation shows both the disneysprings promo and the mousesavers group code, only one of those two promos will be honoured, not both. I get what you are saying though. If you need both free parking and breakfast, it must be done under one promotional code.

Yes. And this is a guess, but I'm thinking it has the group (or corporate) mousesavers code listed, but the reservation lists free parking.

Yes I don't believe you can combine offers from two different entities. If you book via Mousesavers their corporate number or a MOUSE code will be on reservation and I am sure they probably get some credit just like a TA. Disney Springs website likely has some kind of deal with the hotels as well to pay for their operation as a promoter for the hotels. If they were to allow both codes to go through it would be like giving credit to two TAs.

Sometimes you get a double deal from one source, like we have stayed at B with no resort fee or parking fee. Honestly for Doubletree I would take the free parking and take along breakfast foods for in the room. The free breakfast is only continental ... some breads, small pastry, fruit, yogurt, cereal. I can bring that for cheaper than $20 a day.

Agreed. Also with so many good breakfast restaurants very close by (IHOP, Perkins, Denny's, even McD's), there are lots of options.
