Disney Springs dining without a reservation?

We'll arrive in the Orlando area around 1 pm on the first day of our trip. We anticipate things being busy all around (March, Spring break...). We will have some time to burn before checking in to our off-property rental and are planning to head directly to Disney Springs to get out of the car (driving in that morning from the Savannah area) and grab some lunch.

Suggestions on dining that won't require a reservation or typically have open, day-of-lunch reservations? We will be eating at Raglan Road and Polite Pig later in the trip.

I think you have a chance at walk up almost anywhere. Wine bar George and Boathouse are both excellent and might be able to get you in.

Otherwise d-luxe burger is really good. Jock Lindsay’s hanger bar has a small but tasty menu. Morimoto’s has a take out counter that looks great although I haven’t tried it yet. I’m sure others will have suggestions but I don’t think you’ll have trouble finding somewhere to have lunch.

As a backup plan too - if there's a restaurant you really want and it's fully booked up, many of the places there have bar seating walkups and you can usually score a spot even at the busiest times, if you don't mind sitting at a bar. I've done Frontera, Homecomin, HOB, T-Rex, Boathouse, Paradiso, and Enzo's all without ressies on busy evenings where table waits were over 1 hour or not available at all.

Maybe check the app for a reservation when you have a good idea of your arrival time?

Even though It's never available through the MDE we've always been able to get Homecomin as a walkup with a reasonable wait. I think they only release a few tables for reservation through MDE.

Oh this is good to know. Its been on our to try list.

My favorite Disney Springs restaurant is Homecomin. The food is always excellent. I've eaten there four times now and I've never had a reservation. Each time they told us it would be about a 30 minute wait, but each time we ended up being seated within 10 minutes.

Open Table is useful for DS. I have found reservations there when nothing shows up in MDE. I like Blaze pizza as a good QS place.
