we are taking a break and going to the movies this afternoon. We have an early dinner reservation at the Edison after.

I know it is a dine in theater. Do we have to order? I do not want to spoil our dinner. And we don’t eat popcorn or drink soda.

Thanks!

Did you know there is a regular theater too? You don’t have to go to the dine in side. But no, you don’t have to order anything to go to the dine in theaters. Also, I think the dine in theaters are more expensive that the regular movie theaters. You go into the dine in ones near the walkways to the rest of DS. The regular theater entrance is near Splitsville.

Yes, this! I made the mistake a few years ago of thinking there was only a dine-in option and reserved tickets, though we didn't want to eat there. We ordered some drinks and a snack, but realized when we had gotten there that there was a regular theater as well! Definitely check out the times for the regular theater and see if one of those shows will fit into your schedule. I didn't find the seats in the dine-in option to be very comfortable and it was a little distracting to have wait service during the movie.

Thanks. I can’t find the non dine in theater on fandango. I reserved tickets at the dine in. I’ll ask when we get there. So far when I went to select seats my theater is pretty empty so I’m sure I’ll be ok ordering just some wine.

It's all called the Dine In Theater. As you look at each movie, it lists it as Dine In, Dolby or digital. Food is only served at the Dine in ones. Dolby & digital are the regular theaters. The seating set up is different because you have counters in front of you to eat on in the Dine in theaters. Regular seating in the others. Just wanted you to know in case you had a preference. But you'll be fine even if you don't order anything.

This is what I mean, only the first show listed has the dining service. The others are regular seating.
