Can anyone explain to me why people walk around Disney Springs with their suitcases? Do they not know hotels will hold for you? I realize it could be some air bnbs but I’ve even seen people get mood of Disney busses. Just seems odd.

Perhaps they don’t want to take the time to go back to their hotel before heading to the airport? Perhaps they think that other hotels would only hold bags for their own guests? I wouldn’t want to drag my bags around DS, but I suppose some people don’t mind.

Yeah, I've done this because going back to your resort adds at least an hour, and I will often get up on my check-out day, go hit DS for lunch, then head straight to the airport for an afternoon flight. Granted I typically travel with only a backpack and probably wouldn't do it if I had more combersome luggage, but I do get why people might do it.

Guessing they must take private transportation to DS since luggage is not permitted on Disney buses.

Will say we’ve been to DS many, many times and can’t remember ever seeing someone with luggage. I don’t believe this happens often.
I have seen small-medium roll ons on DS buses. Not a family, just solo people usually and I’ve seen it a couple times. I think it’s like the Skyliner, the rules are like guidelines and are decided in the moment by the CMs.

True...I saw a lady with a larger roller on the boat to Saratoga Springs (from Disney Springs) earlier this year. I will say; I'm sure there are stores at DS that sell luggage, so my guess is it gets on transportation more than some may think.

I don't think they worry about it too much if the busses aren't crowded. Like I will typically get on a pre-10 AM bus when I am checking out, and there is nobody on it - a couple of suitcases would not be a problem. At night it would be a different story with crowded busses zipping back and forth.

Yes! That reminded me that we did buy a large suitcase from kipling store, the sale was hard to pass up., Not sure where we were staying at that time but we never rented a car at our WDW vacay.

I often see People with suitcases at DS but can't remember ever seeing them with a Disney one. It often looks like they are trying to get somewhere vs shopping.

I hadn't thought about the resellers but that would make sense too, they haven't always been dressed for vacation/florida heat.

There are several third party stores that sell luggage that have nothing to do with Disney.

I saw a lady at Epcot using one as her trail donkey/pack mule. Some people don't like purses or backpacks I guess.
