Has anyone else read the latest news on Chapek looking to start having “Disney-sponsored Sports Gambling”? This is like the cherry on the top of all the destruction of the brand he has done. WTH?

Apparently they will use ESPN as a shield to provide distance from "family friendly" Disney.

"Bob Chapek, the company’s chief executive, told investors at a conference on Tuesday that Disney plans to get “aggressive” about expanding its presence in sports wagering. It is considering forging closer licensing partnerships with gambling operators through ESPN, its sports broadcasting powerhouse."

Heads-up, Disney! People on the DIS love love love to speculate, so you could easily run a gambling operation here. Current bets could include:

(1) Standby wait times--over/under posted times.

(2) Odds of getting an ADR for any given restaurant on any day except the day of.

(3) Number of guests who purchase Genie+ each day. Bets close at 6:59:59 a.m.

(4) Opening date for Tron.

(5) What's the next thing that was always free that WDW is now going to start charging for? And what will the charge be?

I can see a HUGE revenue source!

Whats the over/under on Tron? :D

Hey they're a business. They have a responsibility to their stockholders! :rotfl:

I love how this line is used to excuse every money sucking move they make.

Meh, in this age of inclusion, if the gambling is legal, then those that want to partake should have the right. :thumbsup2

"we carry out massive surveys we use the data we collect, thats why im proud to announce Disney Maui betting a new app that allows our guests the best flexibility available when giving in to addictive betting while on holiday. The kids will be able to take part using the Hey hey app a simpler child friendly version featuring a cute chicken. Guests onsite will be able to add gambling debts straight to their resort bill so you dont even have to worry about how much your gambling. For a small charge we will even send leg breaker mickey to your hotel room to threaten you if you have unpaid debts, something magic, something guests, something flexibility."
