What are some great souvenirs you bought at Disney. Post photos if you like. My favorite part of the trip reports are their photos of what they bought.

What souvenirs do you plan on buying when getting to Disney.

Wow I thought I would get at least a few responses. Come on people tell me what cool souvenirs you have bought at Disney or plan on buying when you go back. I saw a post and the lady bought these soft vinyl baby princesses for her daughter and a disney bus for her son and I thought they were so cool.

I usually go for more of a 'useful' souvenir like writing pens. Not those huge awkward ones, but just normal ones that will fit in my pocket.

I can pull it out to write, and seeing the different ones each day always bring a smile.

:goodvibes

We bought a christmas ornament last year and plan on doing so for all of our upcomming trips. Our favorite things are our pictures so when we got home we put together an album with PhotoPass which I love. It was money well spent.

Last year I accidentally underpacked and had to buy shirts...lol. We let our kids each get one toy and that was really it. I try to think of where these things are going to end up in a month or so. Little toys, no matter how cool they are at first, always end up at the bottom of the toy box. My DD bought a plush that she still hangs with, my DD3 bought a buzz doll which he still uses and the little guy got a soccer ball. It was over a year ago that we last went and they each have their things still.

I bought a bobble head Mickey dressed in an old style Yankees uniform. I buy LOTS of pins. What else? Hubby bought a ranger hat from Animal Kingdom. I bought my DD an autograph book and pen. A Mickey water fan. What else? Lots of unique t-shirts. And that's about it.

Last year - first trip - we bought a bunch of the smaller stuffed Mickey Mouse's (Safari Mickey, some from Epcot from the different countries, one with an astronaut outfit on etc etc). Ds6 didn't really want anything else. I'm thinking this year we'll be on the lookout for more, in different outfits, as well as some Pluto's etc etc :) He had a great time arranging them on the window of our room, so they could be seen from the outside :)

When I stayed at POP we came back to our room every day to find my DD's toys all arranged in the window. We loved it!

PINS! I forgot how kooky we got with the pins one year! Those were a lot of fun and after each trip we framed our pins in a shadow box.

We started collecting shot glasses before we had a family. They are nice to look at, don't take up lots of space, and for the most part, they are virtually indestructible. We have a handful of Disney glasses, but we only get ones that are truly unique. Sorry, no pics.

MK - ordinary shot glass with elaborate fireworks printed around an image of the castle
Epcot - flags of all the World Showcase nations are printed on the inside of the glass. It looks really neat if you look through the side.
DHS - Rockin' Roller Coaster -- there's a glass guitar protruding out the sides of the shot glass.
AK - Expedition Everest glass, covered with bits and pieces of Tibetan theming, with big claw-marks scratched in the side.
Disney's California Adventure - a Tower of Terror shot glass that looks like a mini huricane glass, with the HTH logo inside.
Disneyland Paris - Very classy, black-and-white Mickey image on a tall frosted shot glass.

Unfortunately, we never found any unique shot glasses at Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo Disney Sea. :(

Our daughter is learning to count, and she loves to count the Mickey's in our shot glass display case.

My non-Disney favorites:
Universal Islands of Adventure - Dueling Dragons - Pewter dragon mounted on top of an upside-down shot glass. It looks really cool. To use the shot glass, it stands on the dragon's nose and wing-tips.
Holiday World - A mini three-masted ship mounted inside the shot glass, commemorating their big wooden roller coaster: The Voyage. Not very useful (or easy to clean), but very impressive to look at.

No photos...but I love the KITCHEN ITEMS I buy and use all year round: everything from glasses to pasta spoons. I buy a WATCH every trip (only those exclusive to the parks, though :thumbsup2. And yes, a Christmas tree ORNAMENT is a must:goodvibesalthough I lean toward plastic as we've broken the glass ones and that just makes me sad. PHOTOS are the BEST though. I blow up the good ones and frame them for work and home. The fireworks over the Castle during WISHES makes a FAB photo and totally one of a kind souvenier plus it's fun to see the family change over the years:banana:DD and I will be checking out the D&B disney purses this summer too

My favorite souvenir is a denim baseball cap that has "Peace, Love, Mickey Mouse" on it. I got it in 2002 and have worn it every trip since.

No pics but our yearly ornaments are favorites as is my Stitch Cookie Jar!

Sorry, I don't have any pics either but every year I have to get a Christmas Ornament or two, at least one coffee mug, a few antenna toppers, a photo frame, and some earrings. Last year was the first year we didn't go in quite a few years, but we went on a cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale and I purposely picked a return flight that allowed us a few hour layover in the Orlando airport (:ssst: Don't tell DH!). I hit the Earport Gift Shop and got all my must haves (and a few not so must haves!)

I also like to get a sweatshirt every other year. In the beginning I had a hard time justifying the cost to myself-- I am pretty frugal and spending $65 or more on one item of clothing just seemed silly. But DH pointed out that I wear a sweatshirt practically every day in the winter for at least a few hours, so that is absolutely a rational expense. And they make me happy! :teeth:

I like to get a few antenna toppers to add to my collection if they strike my fancy. I only use a plain black Mickey on my car and it was Mickey-napped last month so I think I will get a handful next time. Oh, and I usually pick up some hair accessories like ponytail holders but in December I had all of my long hair cut off so I guess I won't need those anymore.

I always get the glass ball ornament with that year, and the porcelain one with the Mickey cut outs around it for that year. Those are very fragile and so far I have been lucky and they have all survived. I also tend to pick up a few pieces of cheap jewelry that I enjoy. And I have to have a coffee mug from that year and usually one other. I love using them every morning.

I use a pen-light I got at AK for evaluations at work! It could be the busiest or worst day ever, and that light makes me smile!

We like to buy a sketch from DHS that is framed and has a pin with it. We got Pirate Mickey the first time and Steam Boat Willie the 2nd. Dont know if we are going to get the framed and matted ones this time though. Trying to watch our spending

:lmao: YOU WIN! Best souvenir ever!

And while she is absolutely precious I think I will stick to my coffee mugs and picture frames-- I have 2 DD's and now I am just on hold (for quite a while ) until grandchildren.

We got the winnie the poo animal kingdom stuffed guys our first trip. 2nd trip I got a WDW coffee mug (2000) that I still have and still use. Then my souvineir to me my last trip was 2 cereal bowls, and I use them. Probably my favorite. I also got a "how to draw Mickey Mouse" book, and that's been fun. Oh, and I think we have some ornamtnets.

We're not really big souvenir people -- too frugal, I guess, but if there's something useful and irresistible, we'll buy it. Right now, I'm drinking out of my Mickey coffee mug that I adore. When it's in the dishwasher, I drink out of my second favorite coffee mug -- Pluto! (Actually, Pluto would be my first favorite, but it's a bit thin and hard to hold b/c it gets too hot.)

DS7 loves the Disney Racer Hotwheels sized cars that resemble the characters. We have acquired a large collection of Potato Head parts over the years. DD9 loves her autograph/photo albums. Hmmmm. The kids still enjoy the pressed penny albums. My husband got a tee shirt once, but I think that's it for him. I bought some animal print pens with a Mickey head shape at the top at Animal Kingdom and usually buy a fridge magnet with the year on it. The kids spend most of their souvie money at the Lego store.
