My DD teaches dance and her dance studio is doing a Disney themed recital in the spring and I am trying to help her with ideas for music. I could really use some suggestions on good songs for dance. Anything from Disney movies or TV shows would be helpful. I have a list of some but, could use some more.

We did a tap to "trashing the camp" and "wanna be like you". Pointe to "beauty and the beast". Jazz number to "you've got a friend in me". I know there's more... I danced for 20 years...

I just can't wait to be king.
Let it Go. (Yes, Frozen is overrated, but the instrumental is beautiful)
Be Our Guest.
Once Upon a Dream.
For a tap class "High Diddle Dee Dee" from Pinochio would be good.

Shake Your Tail Feathers. They kids in this were 4 & 5 years old and SO CUTE. Their costumes were bright blue with blue, red, yellow, and green tail feathers and head pieces, and boy, could they jump around and twist. The kids had a blast and they were adorable (very important to have adorable costumes on the "novice" dancers!)!

My niece did tap to the song from Teen Beach Movie this year. They also had a class do ballet to Demi Lavatos' let it go. Last year she tapped to shake your tail feathers and it was cute.
My DD missed out on Disney songs but her studio has had jazz to Gitchie Gitchie Goo from Phineas and Ferb which was fun and ballet to Can you feel the love.

My daughter has done a ballet piece to Colors of the Wind, and another ballet piece to the a song from one of the Tinkerbell movies, Fly to your Heart. One of the tap classes did a number to Supercalifragilious and another did one from that song from Aladdin - One Jump ahead of the breadline (not sure of exact title). The Aladdin number was SO cute - they wore harem-style pants, so cute.

Oooh... Yes... We did a modern to colors of the wind and a tap to friend like me... Tap to king of New York.

Have to update on this. DD6 found out her ballet this year will be to Let It Go. She is so excited!

My dd's studio always does a big finale production number- more like a "mini play" with all the competition kids. A few years back they did the soundtrack to Newsies (it was awesome), 3 years ago they did Mary Poppins (broadway soundtrack and just as awesome - "step in time" was a sheer perfection tap piece) and 2 years ago, my dd's senior year, they did The Lion King (mixed the movie and broadway soundtracks) which was phenomenal. The whole circle of life thing was extra special as she and 4 other girls had been on the team for 10 years together - lets say there was not a dry eye in the theater.

My kids did a ballet to Be Our Guest. (non pointe)

It's been a while but I think that is the only Disney song they did.
