Browsing through several Trip Advisor reviews on DVC Resorts. I have noticed recently that after a review of a resort, A response is given by Disney Social Reviews. Is this something new, much like the Hilton and Marriott brand? When we stay outside DVC, we enjoy the Hilton Hampton Inns for the price point and service and the Hampton Inns Social Media Department typically write a response to traveler reviews.
SO, if Disney Social Reviews are "browsing" the Disboards, PLEASE take note that we have a trip scheduled for AK Jambo this coming October, which was booked at 10 months. Firstly, we still have YET TO BE NOTIFIED about the upcoming pool refurbishment. YES, I have contacted Member Satisfaction, spoken to every supervisor that I could, only to be told that the notification of refurbishment comes from Animal Kingdom Resort. Okay, less than 3 months away, STILL haven't received any notification????

Secondly, PLEASE TAKE NOTE of my comment that yes, we as members all want refurbished resorts and understand the need for such. However, can't there be better transparency and coordination between DVC and Disney in regard to posting rehab information 11 months before a planned rehab OR at minimum 7 months before a planned refurbishment, so that members can make informed decisions about whether they want to stay at a particular resort? When members are required to be at a computer at 7:59AM to be given a shot at booking a non home resort, 7 months prior, then we should do so with knowledge of rehabs.
THANK YOU for taking note of my comments and communicating them to management if "Disney Social Reviews" are surfing these boards!
