When did Disney start only giving the soaps and shampoo on the day you checked in? We were there 4 nights and only received it on the first day/ check in. Such a bummer.

Oh and when did Disney take away the cartoon channel? We loved watching them in the room. When we called the front desk she said they no longer run that station. What's up with these disappointing changes?! :sad1:

We got soaps every day at the GF and the Poly this past month. Where did you stay?
You should be able to call and request more at any time.

I always got new everyday and I stayed at POP and the WL last time. Of course I put them in my suitcase everyday so it was obvious I needed more.

We stayed in a cabin over at Fort Wilderness. I wonder why we didn't get fresh soaps everyday? My youngest couldn't wash his hair the last day. Ewwww!

I didn't think to call for more. Duh! But I had already called because the tub wouldn't drain, several light bulbs were out, and our outside outlet didn't work. Our golf cart went dead. I felt like I was a bother as it was.

They are no longer in the Mickey bottles or wrap for soap are they? At least I think I remember reading that they stopped that. I think my DH was really upset about that.

We got new products everyday, but of course as one of the OP said, I put them in my bag, so they would leave more. But let me tell you something you weren't missing anything. We had the new blue stuff and the shampoo and conditioner and they smell so strong I couldn't have stood using them on my hair. Luckily I have a 9 year old cousin I can pass them onto. I did however like the hand soap, so I kept it.

We got some channel that played cartoons, because I had to keep telling DH to change it back to something I could watch.

We had our first stay at Animal Kingdom villas a few weeks ago, and lucky for me the housekeepers left one of their carts in the hall just down from our room. You better believe I was raiding that thing for all it was worth:) Wait, oh please tell me I'm not a terrible person...

I'm not going to judge, but I would be willing to bet someone was watching you. I would think there is security cameras EVERYWHERE!

If they don't refill it- I would just leave a little note asking for more. I did that once and they put like double of everything each day.

I got new stuff every day last week at the GF. They kept piling more products on the counter and in the bathroom every time they cleaned the room, so I started stashing it in my suitcase to take home. It's wonderful H2O plus products -- I especially love the foot lotion! It's the green "marine' line at the GF... I don't know if it varies by hotel. I have a nice collection of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body butter, foot lotion, facial soap, body soap, and glycerin soap :)

Got so much of that soap an shampoo at my house I've stopped saving it I NEVER use the stuff always take my own DH uses it while he's there an when he travels but I think we got a life time supply for him now.

I know all of you are discussing the Disney soaps but during our stay at the Swan the toiletries were replaced everyday and I too also took alot home because DH travels alot but we have more than enough.

We were in a suite so every bathroom had toiletries replaced everyday and they changed the brand to Bath and Body Works which was a real treat! They had the coconut/lime scented shower gel (this was not replaced on a regular basis--maybe not enough, who knows) shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and a small bar of soap which I used for my hands. In the tub they had a larger bar of soap in the vanilla scent. Boy did we all smell great:flower3: I never cared for the brand they had before but I had loved the oatmeal soap which they now stopped giving.:guilty:

We got our supply refreshed everyday at CBR. There was also a classic disney cartoon channel that my kids loved on like channel 97 or something. It bothered me because not only was there only 5 or 6 cartoons in a constant loop but two of them had what I perceive to be innapropriate content. One had a cow smoking a cigar and the other had pluto getting drunk. My kids (3and5) had alot of questions about this.

You weren't missing anything!;)

I'm curious about the "new" soaps. I'm open to change, but we enjoyed the Mickey soaps :sad1: .

I LOVE the H2O stuff. I have one of the XL zippie bags full of various stuff from our last visit. We did the same thing as Tissa. Everyday I came in and put the extras in my suitcase. We also had turndown service so lots of times we got double. We were at BC.

Loved the H20 lotion. Will likely be asking "Santa" to please order some and pop it in my stocking..................

The new soaps still have mickey on them. They are now blue colored and round. Smaller than the old ones.

Well, I'm clueless why some get them everyday and other's don't- and about the cartoon channel.... some had it, some don't. Grrrrr!

Do you mean the station the showed all the old Walt Disney cartoons? We loved that too! I can watch Toon Disney and the Disney Channel at home. Sometime between 2003 and 2005 it was eliminated is my best guess.

We received new ones everyday along with them arranging my daughters stuffed toys and princesses everyday at the CR
