Is there some kind of new shuttle system offered by Disney from Disney Resorts to MCO? If so does anyone know how much it costs (family of 4)? TIA

Yes, there is. However, the new shuttle service doesn't start until May 5th. It is also FREE! I believe it is sponsored by the the Mears Shuttle service. Plan on it being a couple of hours to get from the airport to your resort though. As it is new, no one really knows how long it is going to take to get from point A to point B.

Look at this link about the middle of the page. It will give you a little more information.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like a good deal to me!

That's what I think too. I plan on trying it my next trip.

OHMYGOD! I was SSSSOOOO! happy today, i called to add the disney's magical express shuttle service to my trip and it saved me $104! I know it's not a whole lot but I'm going to wdw with 2 kids! my sis 8 and my nephew 5 so $100 extra will help!

I'm not giving up my Happy Limo ressies just yet until I hear how this plays out. I'd hate to waste hours of my precious Disney vacation to save a hundred bucks. The frustration alone would be worth the price of a town car. When we used Mears and paid for the service 2 years ago, I vowed never again! I'll wait to hear from those that try it before I sign up...

It is a hit or miss option to take a shuttle. It all depends on whether you're in a big hurry to get to your resort and whether or not a "grocery stop" is required. The new shuttle might be free but I envision it as taking a lot of time out of your first day, but if you're not planning on doing anything special the first day it would be a cheaper solution. I tried Mears the first trip in 1995 and we did have to wait for the van to get full, then stop at each resort which was fine since it was our first time and we weren't planning on going to the parks on the first day. Ever since though I've taken a car service to make the most of my day. HTH

I agree, if Mears is involved in any way, run the other direction!

Add me to the Avoid Mears at all Costs list! Saving the $100 it costs for a Towncar just isn't worth that nightmare.

If it's anything like the mears shuttle that you used to pay for then I still wouldn't take it. I took it once and it was like 2 hours before I was in my hotel room. I'll pay the $60.00 for a towncar it was worth it the last 2 times.

Which towncar is only $60?? Or maybe you mean the difference between a $60 Mears ride and a $120 Towncar (I think towncars are a bit cheaper than that tho, last I remember.)

YES YES, I'd like to know too, pretty please! My 4-year old and I are taking a quick WDW trip next month and it feels silly to pay $100 in transportation for just the two of us for only 4 days. I don't think DS has the patience for Mears. If there is a less expensive pricate car option, I am desperate to know what it is! Thanks!

Do you have to book a package to get the Mears? One of my "kids" will be joining us for a weekend in May, and it would save us a trip out to the airport to pick her up. Thank you.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the way I read about it, Magic Express is available to all that are staying at a Disney resort. HTH :cool1:

That is correct. The Magical Express is available to all Disney resort guests.
