Disney shuttle from airport

Hi,
I have a few questions for all the vetrans out there...
I am flying from newark-orlando the day before as well as departing the day after my cruise. My questions are:
1. Do I put the Disney luggage tags on AFTER I arrive at my hotel?
2. When I leave the ships, same question. How do they know I'm not directly flying out and take my luggage to the airport?
3. Do I need to make a certain time reservation to get the disney shuttle. Do I just show up at the airport? Where do I go at the airport?

Hi Jane. Ok if you are staying at a hotel near MCO (Orlando Int'l Airport), there will probably be a shuttle to and from the airport. Except for the MCO Hyatt, which is actually located in the airport.

You fly into MCO with your regular tags, shuttle to your hotel. In the morning, affix your DCL tags to your luggage and shuttle back to the airport. The driver will know where the DCL buses are. Or just shuttle back to the airline you came in on. There are DCL reps everywhere in the airport. You can arrange for DCL transportation either with Disney, or your travel agent. Also, you can purchase transfers right there on the bus (I did this in 1/03).

When you disembark from the ship at the end of your cruise-you have to claim your luggage and then proceed to your next destination. It will not be whisked away to the airport automatically.

A great perk of staying at the MCO Hyatt is that when you check in, identify yourself as a DCL customer. You're given luggage tags that you fill out. The next morning, put your luggage outside your door and DCL picks it up for you. You'll see it in your cabin later.

There is another option. Arranging your own transportation. Depending on the number in your party, it may be cheaper to take car service.
