Disney should have a ***blank*** ?

Why not reach outside of WDW tho, and have themed family entertainment in large cities accross the country? Disney could make mini-disney parks with themed areas to compete with the Chuck Cheeses of the world...except do it up in Disney style. Each hole of mini-golf could feature a different disney movie/ride (although I would be partial to a Pirates one).

The Bowling alley could be seperated into several small groups of jointly themed lanes. Buzz Lightyear's Bowl-o-rama...all the pins could be painted like the little green martians that worship the claw. Lights could be put in under the surface of the lane with sensors to tell it where the ball is, and a trail of lights showing where your ball went could light up.

Also, alot of DisneyQuest could be easily replicated (that technology is expense to develop, but cheap to re-produce).

Of course every town couldn't support a facility of this size, but NY, Denver, Chicago, maybe San Antonio...cities that have a heavy tourism industry already could support it.

And a Disney Villian's park is great! I'm already planning out 'The Magic Mirror' with two dueling coasters.

I have always wanted the airline especially dedicated to Disney. They could have all the planes in different character themes or something! I would love it if disney would do this!

I love the airline idea and the bowling alley. But I really LOVE the go cart idea! How great would that be? 5 huge tracks, each with different speeds on the cars for different difficulty. You could have a big leaders board, cameras all through out the track. Winners could win prizes. It could also be covered under the "Water Parks and More" option like Disney Quest. That'd be great! :cool1:

Disney should have a DRIVE IN MOVIE theatre!!!

They had an ice rink at DD during the holidays one year. I believe it was over near where Once Upon a Toy is now. It was a while ago though. But I know for a fact they have tried this one out!

YUP! Been there Done that!

Also they have Go Carts in Tommorrowland!

Disney should have their own "Broadway". They could create a "street" with theatres and show The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Aida, and Tarzan. They could also preview new shows there before moving them to London or New York.

I LOVE this idea!

Something I think Disney should have is a midnight Character meal (Buffet, whatever) for the grownups. Maybe make it an all chocolate buffet like one of the cruise lines does for their midnight buffets.

bowling sounds wonderfull. but how about an adult character breakfast or lunch or dinner with some of the
ABC stars since disney owns the network.. just imagine sitting down with some of the folks from L O S T
now that would be nice......... :goodvibes
:rotfl: i know.....will never happen.......
a girl can dream right?........ :lmao:

Disney should have a new park themed to the different decades in the 20th century...From the 1900's through to 2000, for example in the 1920's section they could build a wooden coaster, ferris wheel, and other rides that were around during that era, then move on through the decades theming the CM's wardrobes to match the styles of the times, etc. Think Pop Century but made into a theme park.

Perhaps I'm misinformed, but I thought a bowling alley was planned to go in at the revamped Pleasure Island area. I thought I read that somewhere on the DIS awhile ago, but then I have an old brain and find I occasionally make things up.

I love the ideas coming out of this thread and would love to see the idea of a "theater district" come true! How great!

I, too, was at Disney over the holidays when they had the skating rink. It's plenty cool enough in FL in December for it but I believe the land it occupied is now packed with restaurants and more extreme money-makers for our favorite Mouse. I would love to see a roller rink go in...especially one that would not only welcome families but adults, as well. I also loved the midnight character meal deal.

Don't flame me, please, but how about an adults only dinner seating in some of the better restaurants? Perhaps the menus could be a bit more creative (not covered by dining plans) and cost a little more. But why have all the wonderful child care centers when the parents have to spend their "alone" time with other people's kids?

Great ideas, folks...Am enjoying the creativity!

I have thought for years, YEARS that Disney should open a Bowling Alley....all themed, the way their Mini Golf's are.

Imagine how cool that would be? An evening rolls around - you dont feel like park'n it, or pool'n it - how FUN would bowling be? And (many) families LOVE bowling... I dunno, I think it would go over SO well.

Anyone got any other idea's (or love mine??? ;) )

How funny, I just mentioned this to my sister the other day. We had just gotten back from our trip, and was saying they should have one for something else to do at night. I agree, I think it would go over well.

Okay~ First off... the Broadway and go-cart ideas are awesome. As are the dine w/ the stars (IE lost, Desp HWs...) When avail :)... Now mine~

A TS restaurant in each park with a childcare room in it. No kids under 10 at the tables with the kids. They can eat in the supervised kids room if they are hungry. I think that would be awesome and V convenient (Id love to get away for lunch w DH for 60-90 min in the middle of the day

A huge family fun center inc~ a massive indoor playground like the old Discovery Zone used to be
Bowling
Skating (either ice or inline/ roller)
paint ball
Laser tag
A family could really have a blast here, rain or shine, just play a day away if they want... :cheer2:

I think these 2 things would be fantastic and hugely popular :yay:

I think the skating idea is also good, doesn't have to be ice skating, it can be an outdoor/indoor roller skating, roller blade skating, same theme, holiday music, only one draw back, liability, many little ones and big ones getting hurt, who's responsible, there goes that idea, back to the parks and rides.
Love roller skating though.., I do recall checking with guest services several years ago if I could bring my roller blades and skate around the boardwalk area and was told there is no roller blading aloud on the property. : :confused3

How about a teleporter where you can be teleported from any hotel on property to any of the parks, or better yet from anywhere in the world to WDW in an instant! HAHA, just kidding! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

But I LOVE all of the ideas on this thread so far...the theater district one is by far the coolest (I'm a NY'er gotta love that one!)

On the ice skating topic, a while back (about 11 years ago) I remember going to Universal during the holidays and they had made snow and let people go sledding down a small hill. I have it on video! So I think the ice wouldn't melt since the snow didnt, they must have used some kind of chemical or something....just my two cents :confused3

I would pay double for my lunch in a restaurant like this!

Here are my suggestions...

A character meal really geared for boys - Power Rangers, etc.

A moderate and/or delux hotel that is themed like All Star Movies - I would like to stay at a moderate on our trip, but decided on the ASMo since my kids (OK, and me too!) LOVE the Disney movies and I thought that for their first trip it would be fun to truly be immersed in the magic (as they know it!).

An indoor waterpark (similar to Great Wolf Lodge, Kalahari, etc.) for those winter months when it's just too cold to go swimming outdoors. I think people would still go even when it is hot enough to swim outside, too, since Disney would theme it so well they'd want to check it out!

A musical concert / revue featuring all the great songs from the movies.

I think Disney should have an AIRLINE! :cool1: Just think how much better service would be getting to and from WDW and DL! :goodvibes. Flights would match the Cruise schedules :boat:!

On the other hand, they would have Goofy :goofy: serving drinks :crazy2: ... and Captain Hook pirate: in the cockpit ... maybe not such a good idea.:rotfl:

Before I even opened this thread I thought...they should have an airline!! That would be awesome. Let the Disney fun begin right at the airport. It sure would make flying down more enjoyable....although just the thought of driving down makes flying down enjoyable :-)

The should have a hunge indoor waterpark with wave pools and slides and swimming, all with skylights etc.. so on the wettest coldest of days it can be enjoyed.

I would also like a disney hotel with a huge indoor pool (like the gaylord palms)
