Okay-
I went to Sam's Club to purchase gift cards for my dining plan (renting DVC points from a member and you pay for the dining plan on arrival). So, I have $180 in gift cards to use at Disney Store or Disney Shopping.com.

I would like to purchase the following: monorail, pirates of the carribbean ship, and EPCOT spaceship earth.

Am I to understand that the gift cards can only be used one at a time (see the previous threads about the 20% code)?

I will be there in December and will be flying Southwest (so I could just buy them at the Disney store there and pack them home as I can bring 2 pieces of luggage). However, it is much easier to have them shipped for free and get 20% off right now.

I also have noticed that the monorail is not on the website right now... Any ideas out there? Does anyone know about how much the monorail costs at Disney? I would want to "save" that on my gift cards....

Since you will be staying at a Disney Resort, just have all the Gift Cards applied to your folio when you check in and do the charging on your KTTW. Anything you buy will first get charged against the gift cards and the remainder against the credit or debit card on file. If you have any balance left when you check out, they will refund the unused gift card balance to a new gift card (which will have no expiration).

Are you driving or flying? If it were me and there were things I knew I wanted I would order them with the discounts and free shipping and then you won't have to pay to have them checked on the way home.

I'm not sure what 20% offer you are talking about, but usually the Theme Park merchandise does not qualify for any discounts. I'd check the fine print on the discount offer, that may make your decision for you.

You can definitely use the DISNEYFAN code for Theme Park merchandise. I did it no problem.

Have you tried phoning in your order to see if they can apply more cards to your order? I wonder if you could go into a Disney Store and have the value put on all one card?

I saw another post where someone said if you phone in the order, you can use 2 GC's. Although, the PP mentioned getting it all put on one card. Genius! But I think the 20% off ends today so it would have to be done quick. I would definitely buy now rather than wait till you get to the parks and have to lug it all back home. Unless you are driving...then it's not too bad. But with free shipping and 20% off, I'd do it now for sure!

Thanks for the help. I called and they let me use as many gift cards as I wanted. I went ahead and purchased some of the items.

Sorry... I think it ended yesterday... I was just responding to the advice and made my order via phone last night. However, I think that last year Black Friday had a similar promotion- 20% and free shipping (with a certain purchase). I am not 100% sure of this, but I think that was last year's promotion...
