Disney Shareholder DVC offer

Is this thread about the latest promotion for purchasing DVC? or is this thread about the perks of being a Disney Shareholder? Or is this about the perks of being a both a Shareholder and a DVC owner?

Can somebody please help clear this up and tell me more about being Disney Shareholder?

It's about both. Shareholders apparently got a new promotion in their recent paperwork.

To become a Disney shareholder, you can buy direct from Disney if you have $1000 to invest; go through a broker; go through an on-line broker; or go through a place like oneshare<dot>com to buy a share without opening an investment account.

Basically if you own Disney stock you can call and get this promotion. You will get a free vacation (not sure how just yet, but I was told it was a comped vacation, not just getting your 05 points) when you buy into Saratoga.

Not yet...I got 05 and 06 UY as part of their current promo. The cost per point is $98 with a $8 discount (that's where the $1200 comes from). The $8 discount is also part of the current promo.

I don't understand. I am a shareholder, But I just bought SSR last week. So because I got it last week, would I still be available for the free stockholder trip? or would I have to have told my agent? Is it too late? Do I have to buy more to get it?

Also, if you newly purchase shares (something I've been wanting to do, but haven't.) how is that handled? Anyone a new purchaser and DVC buyer?

So as a member of DVC since July, and a stockholder for over a year, am I entitled to anything???

From what I understand, this promotion is not valid with other promotions. So, if you bought into DVC with F&F or the current $1200 credit promotion, you are NOT eligible for this promotion too.

In a nutshell, you're not really missing out on anything unless you bought into DVC today and did not take advantage of any other offer.

But I'm thinking add-on. I wonder if its valid for that.
