Question at todays, 3-13-12 Disney's annual meeting.

This was the #1 shareholder meeting concern, keeping the CEO and Chairman seperate.

These are the park related questions and answers when answered. These are in my words and adaptation from listening live, not exact quotes.

Should the AP parking costs, currently $99 for SoCal Select, SoCal, Delux, be proportional to the number of days unblocked?

Should there be a discount for disney AP holder, DVC, Visa holders...ect anytime you are served by a CM?

What are the plans to leverage Marvel Characters at the Parks? (working on concepts, of attractions and lands).

Will Newsies make it's way into the WDW DHS studios? This is possible to make it's way to the parks if it preforms well on Broadway.

Are there plans to update TL in WDW or DL? Not currently for the land just small work on attractions. It's only on the list to be considered for major work.

Will boy oriented and new character, character meals be added? More pirates. P&F and Cars character experiences in consideration.

Will DVC be added to DLR as new building or changing over existing hotel rooms? No plans are still testing DVC in DLR.

Are they looking at more 24 hour days?

Does the term "Disney Parks" downgrade the name WDW and DL which are themeselves something novel, is it too simple?

Should December 5th, Walt's Birthday become another 24hr event?

Thank you for sharing. You always seem to be in the "know" about each and every topic.

I'm curious about #1. Was someone suggesting to merge the two roles? Iger is not currently Chairman, right?

I want to clarify, nobody asked about that, which was odd because it's on the mind of big shareholders.

Disney split the role, which is a trend now in corporate America, as shareholders pressured companies that the CEO should not also be the board chairman because in a sense that make them the boss of themselve. In many companies it goes further and the CEO reports to the board and can't be on it.

Iger announced he is going to retire from being CEO but become the Chairman months ago. This kind of left it open ended if he is really retiring at all. Now all of a sudden he want to be both before giving up CEO position.

Being that it's Disney the questions are not typical of shareholders meetings. They are more geared to fans of the company some with a finacial twist. The questions above I tried to limit to stuff regarding the parks so it would be relevant to the board. There were others but more about other park stuff and Movies. Not about TV it's biggest division.

The meeting was here in KC!! I can't believe I wasn't invited. :confused3
