I've been on a 2 hour binge reading Disney "secrets" (disney secrets, buzz feed, Pinterest, wdwinfo, old disboards threads, etc....very cool but most of it is old and no longer true (like the Tom sawyer island paintbrushes and the "Andy is coming" trick with the toy story cast members)

Anybody know of an updated location/resource for newer secrets or rumors?

somebody mentioned "snopes.com" which is awesome, but again a bit dated. Any other suggestions? you can PM me or just post. Thanks!

Not sure if I am allowed to post links to other forums (doubt it) but somebody gave me a link to another forum where there is a ton of the latest rumors posted. Mods can close this thread if they want...I found what I needed!

Happens all the time. I don't see any issue with it provided the linked content is in general good taste.

My first exposure was reading a book called Big Secrets by William Poundstone. They were dealing with the rumor that Walt Disney's body was cryogenically frozen (for possible reanimation) and stored in a secret vault in New Orleans Square near Club 33. The truth was that his remains were cremated and interred at a mausoleum at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale.

http://forums.wdwmagic.com/forums/wdw-parks-news-rumors-and-current-events.4/ is the link I got....and wow there is a lot of stuff posted there. Almost overwhelming.

I think that is the classic "secret" about Disney...that he is frozen. You never know. The one that surprised me was the existence of a water park on Bay lake that was only recently (2001) closed down and is now abandoned.

That "water park" would probably be part of Fort Wilderness - River Country and also Discovery Island. We went to both many times!
