Generally, we have gone to WDW in November and December. We have swam almost every day except one. May was TOO HOT for me. September was pretty humid. Now we are booked in February and I'm concerned that it might be too cool. The year we were there in December was unusually hot... in the 80s I think. What have your experiences been?

We went to the Daytona 500 in Feb. 07 - wore gloves and leather jackets when we left WDW to drive to race, and I have pictures of us at SSR and DTD in jeans and long sleeve shirts/sweaters. I think one day it got up to 70 degrees, but I know we didn't visit the pool at all. But who knows what it will be this Feb. since weather seems so random now - I know last December we went for a few days at the beginning of the month, and it was 85 degrees each day, when it had been low to mid seventies the week before.
Have fun planning!

We were there Feb 9-17, 2008 we swam everyday except one ( tornado warning pool was closed). We had to wear sweaters as it was cooler in the morning but by lunch time it was warm 74-80 degrees. We are heading back Feb 11-21, 2009. Hoping for the same temperature.

Depends on what you think too cool is :)) We went once in Feb and there were more employees at Typhoon Lagoon then there were those of us having fun. We got to the top of the family raft ride, the operator took one look at us and said - you are all from Canada aren't you :rotfl:

Do any of you drive in February? I'm considering driving from the GTA and we've NEVER driven before. But, now there'll be four of us instead of two!

WE have gone to WDW both the end of January and also the third week of Feb.....too cold for me. I believe I swam once out of both of those trips. We usually were able to wear shorts with a sweatshirt (no sandals) most days and in the evenings had to have pants on. Here is some info I found on TYPICAL WEATHER for Jan and Feb. (fiound on accuweather.com)

January
Normal High: 72°F
Normal Low: 50°F
Normal Average: 61°

February
Normal High: 74°F
Normal Low: 51°F
Normal Average: 63°F

Hope that helps!

We have been twice at the end of Jan/beginning of Feb and drove both times from Waterloo, Ont. We were very lucky with weather, and had awesome temps for the first trip. We wore shorts every day, except one. However, the nights are cool, and you need to dress in layers, especially if you are out for the day and nights without heading back to your room/campsite. It is best to be prepared for anything, as you can just as easily have very cool temps. Our second trip was more of a mixed bag, and there were a few days that we wore sweatshirts and jeans during the day and added a jacket at night. Of course, the locals can always tell who the Canadians are as we are the ones dressed in shorts when they have pulled out the big coats and winter hats. We have a great pic of us at the pony rides at Fort Wilderness in a long sleeved shirt and jeans and the CM is wearing flannel and a sheepskin jacket! =)

We wore mini gloves and sweaters on Feb 27, followed by 6 days of very comfortable weather. One day was in the high 20's. I think this is a great time to travel to WDW. Have fun!

We went during the first 2 weeks of February and it was too cold for us. The weather for the parks were nice but it was too cold for swimming and the evenings required a fleece coat and gloves. I didn't fly almost 3000 miles to wear gloves lol so we won't go in Feb again! We are going at Chrsitmas this year for the season but normally we will travel during the spring from now on.

February 1-9th 2008 . All days were nice in the mid 20's. Friday morning Feb. 8th was a little cool until 10:00am then nice. I did not find the nights cold- we ran the air conditioner all night. Shorts and T-Shirts all week. My two kids 8 and 10 were in the outside pool at Suites at Old Town every day.
We had very little rain and it did not last long.
We will be back again January 30th-February 14th 2009.

Misslissa; we have driven down both times, pulling a trailer. Generally. we were lucky and had fairly decent weather going down both times. Coming back, however, we ran into storms on both trips. Once, in the Tennessee mountains, and if there had been a safe place to stop and take a break for a while, we would have. That was scary. The second trip we hit a big storm through Ohio. Our advice would be to make sure you have built in some extra travel time for such things. We were only delayed by a few hours each trip coming home, so it wasn't a big deal. The way we look at it going down, if the trip is on schedule then we'll have extra time at WDW.

I'm not sure how you're going, but if you decide to hook up with the I75 you'll find it is an easy trip down. I highly recommend the book "Along the I75" (this is updated each year, spend the $20on a new one).

1st week of Feb 06 it was so COLD that there was frost a few mornings! Mid-afternoon gets nice enough for capris (maybe even shorts) and a t-shirt but the minute the sun goes down it is VERY COLD! We almost perished watching Fantasmic - thankfully I brought gloves and hats for the kids - but they could have used a parka! It can get below 10 at night. Generally, I would say it is like October in Toronto - a bit of a mixed bag but certainly not HOT! That year we did not swim once - even the lifeguards had winter coats on! But hey, it sure beat Canada in February.

I wouldn't drive. If it isn't that big a hassel, just fly. In 2.5 hours you are there vs. 24 hours in a car!! More time to ride Soarin' or hug Mickey!

We were there Feb 07-weather was lovely. Evenings were cool..spent some pool time and some shopping time and enjoyed perfect days!:thumbsup2
