I'm debating whether to order just the album or the kit that says "The kit includes a shadowboxed Mickey album, twelve (12) assorted classic Disney scrapbook papers and ten (10) assorted classic Disney scrapbook sticker sheets". It's the 4th one down on this page....

...I just wish I could see the papers to know if I should get the kit or just get the album and my own papers. Does anyone have this kit?

Thanks!

I have the kit. Michaels has it as well. I used the 40% off coupon and got the kit for $30! I think it was a great deal. I've used a lot of the paper and stickers. Considering that the stickers are about $30 each bought individually, that woudl be $30 in stickers and I got the whole kit for $30. So I feel that it was a great deal and well worth it!

Ditto for me!! I used a 40% at Michael's at well. I got this album for my DS, 10, he's using it for his version of our latest trip. Well worth it, especially for $30 -- the album alone cost almost that much. It does come this a nice variety of stickers -- including letters!!

IMO go for it!! (if you go the Michaels route especially!)

I have it too....and I also got it at Michael's with a coupon!! :surfweb: :surfweb:
(ok, that smilie doesn't go with what I'm writing, but I've never seen it before, and it's a coffee drinking web-surfer, so I MUST use it!) :rotfl2:

oh, like this one too! LOL :thumbsup2

where did all of these come from??? party:

oops, :offtopic:

 ok, I'm done now!

The little dancing M&M-looking smilies are cute. I noticed them today too.

I didn't realize Michael's had it, I'll go look there. That's better than ordering it because I can see it. I'll keep an eye out for that coupon too!! I love when they do that.

Thanks,
Cynthia

I have the kit too. I haven't used it yet as I'm saving it for our upcoming trip. I really lucked out on it. I bought it at Michael's just before Christmas, they had it on clearance for $22 so even though our trip wasn't for a couple months I bought it (Still have it up on the shelf so DS would stop wanting to play with it). All the stuff in it you can buy separately, but if you add it all up it would still be more than $50. BTW, went back to Michael's a few weeks later and the kit was back up to over $40. Found out the Michael's I got it from had put it on clearance accidentally that one day I was there due to Christmas confusion. :yay: Overall, I think the kit is great!!

Sounds like a great deal to me.........I would get it!
I got my kits on Ebay...GREAT deal by the way! :woohoo: :yay:

I'd say, hop in your :car: and go get it now...
sending lots of PD your way pixiedust:

Hello All!

I am new to posting and new to scrapbooking and I had a question about this kit. I hope you guys can stand what I'm sure is a REALLY, REALLY basic question.

My husband got the kit for me from Michaels to use for our pictures from our first trip together last Dec! I just don't understand if I am supposed to add photos and stuff directly to the papers as backgrounds or if I need to attach the papers to cardstock first. They seem kind of flimsy by themselves and I keep wondering if the papers could support 2-3 photos and mats.

Any suggestions for a confused newbie? :confused3

Thanks for your help!!

It depends on what kind of pages it has. This one has plastic sleeves, right? I hope so because that's what I'm used to (I'm hoping to get to Michaels today and I hope mine has it). If it has the sleeves, where you just slide your finished pages, in, it's fine to use the flimsier paper. Some albums do just have heavier pages that you put your photos and embellishments directly onto. These are the type sold by Creative Memories. I've always liked the idea of having my pages more protected, though.

I have a silly question, I still have yet to start my scrapbook mission, but am still buying supplies, if I find a deal :jumping3: . i figure one day when I want to start i should have lots of stuff to use. (Ha Ha) My question is why is the kit 8 x 8, and the paper is 12 x 12 ?? Now i'm really confused :confused3. Any advise out there?? I wish I had seen these kits before i bought the scrapbook that i bought. i bought a pink one with princess on it . my DH made fun of it. I guess I'll have to go out and get a new one. I mean it's not like it would go to waste since we have been to WDW 3 times in 6 years, and I'm trying to get a trip planned for sometime before oct.

I don't ever use the flimsy white paper. I take it out and put everythign on cardstock or printed paper, etc. If it's heavy white paper (and it's not in the disney album), I'll save it for another use.

I'd guess that you are looking at a different kit. t he one we are talking about is a 12x12 album.I've seen red 8x8 mickey albums as well though. :confused3

I didn't see it at my Michael's. Oh well. I'm debating whether to just get a plain album (and maybe decorate the front?) or to order that one online. I'm just not sure.

Hi Clovely,
I bought the album only because I like to choose my own paper. I will tell you that it is a very cute album. Also, the protectors are a perfect 12x12, so no trimming. Thats a great thing for me because I use the flimsy paper that it comes with as a base when I use patterned paper, for stability.

I bought the kit last week at Michaels. I used Joanne's 50% off coupon so it was only $25
