Can anyone answer a few questions for me? I'm having trouble googling for the information.

Can we get this ticket at the main ticket booths?

How much to get the "companion tickets"?

okay I found the answer to the companion tickets! I just need to know if we can buy the military ticket at the ticket booth!

also, does anyone know if we can "pre-buy" a blockout ticket? FOr instance, we are planning on going this Saturday, so instead of waiting in line in the morning, can we gotomorrow afternoon and buy our tickets so we already have them?

I believe you have to get them on base, the companion ticket came out to be 92.50 at mcas miramar for one. they give you a "ticket" that you then need to take to the DL ticket booth to exchange for your real ticket.

• Tickets for family members or friends may be purchased only by the active service member or spouse, not both. No more than one ticket may be purchased for any family member or friend (up to 5 people maximum).
• Last day of use on “Disney’s Armed Forces Salute” theme park tickets at Disneyland® Resort is Jun. 27, 2009.

No, We just picked ours up yesterday and it specifically says no Magic Mornings. Bummer, huh??

A CM explained it to me that you go to MWR at your local base and get the vouchers both for the Active Duty Mbr. and family members. You then take that voucher to the park the day you plan to go and "trade" it in so to speak.

Bummer about no MM. I had already asked but was hoping it might still be possible. What says it specifically the voucher from MWR or tickets from Disneyland?

I would suggest double checking on this. I thought the same thing, "oh but we are staying at the Disneyland Hotel, we can get in for MM." I called the hotel and the CM said unless my ticket says so then no I cannot experience MM. Bummer, huh?

The CM was wrong, ALL guests of DLR hotels qualify for MM. This is a perk you get when staying on-site.

Does anyone know what the ticket looks like once the voucher is turned in? Is is a regular swipe card, or a paper ticket? Also, can the vouchers be redeemed at the ticket booth, but then not used until the following week? My sister is going for two of her three days the week before we get there, so she will be turning in the vouchers for the friends/compannions ticket, but we wont be getting there until the next week. Will our tickets still be good?

I've not used the tickets yet (our trip isn't until May) but from what I understand the Active Duty Mbr. must be present w/ ID to use any tickets including companion tickets. From there they have to be used w/ in 13 days.

I called Walt Disney Travel Co, and they told me that the Military person only had to purchase the tickets(the compannion ones) but didn't have to be there when they were used. I think I'm going to call and talk to another CM to see what answer I get. I'm always afraid that if I just talk to one person I might be getting the wrong answer.

FALSE on that. It clearly states in the one link, i'll copy that later and post, anywho, when I got the one that I neded I walked in and the one lady tried to argue with me, this was at MCAS Miramar, so if you go there, stand your ground. you can only get 5 companion tickets, I only needed one. after a couple of rounds of her telling me i could not get this without my husband present I turned it on her and said "do you think Disney would exclude family members if the servicemember is deployed??", her manager heard this and finally I got my ticket. GRRR.. .

Complimentary "Disney’s Armed Forces Salute" tickets for the Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort may be obtained only by active or retired U.S. military personnel, including active members of the United States Coast Guard and activated members of the National Guard or Reservists.
Please see a participating U.S. military base ticket office for an exchange certificate for the complimentary “Disney’s Armed Forces Salute” ticket for the Walt Disney World or Disneyland Resort. The exchange certificate will need to be redeemed for such ticket by the active or retired military personnel at a Main Entrance theme park ticket window. (maximum of 1 such complimentary ticket per service member, regardless of where the exchange certificate is obtained).

So it has to be the Active Duty Member or *SPOUSE* to buy the tickets. Not SILs, cousins, children, etc. That's what the release states.

The Military person (or spouse) DOES have to be the one to redeem the vouchers at the ticket booth. But once those vouchers are redeemed they do not have to be with you to go into the parks. Which is what we are doing. My sister is Military in San Diego and she happens to be going the week before us, so she is going to redeem our tickets while she is there. The 13 day experation doesnt start until you enter one of the parks with that ticket. So, if you have a family member/friend that can get you these tickets the catch is they have to redeem the voucher they get on base at the ticket booth in Disneyland.
