Do they all have revolved around Disney characters or Disney movies? Why not on original ones?

Certainly not. Thunder Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, It’s A Small World (pre-characters), Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Tower of Terror, Maelstrom, Spaceship Earth, Soarin ... the list goes on and on.

There‘s been more of a move to integrate IP into the parks, but there are plenty of rides based on non-IP.
