Just curious as to how many Disney rewards some of you are accumulating. We're at about 35? I have been using it instead of my check card and then just enter it in my checkbook so when the bill comes I've already deleted it out. I've had two bills now and it is working out nicely.

By the way, should I call them to add that I'm a DVc member once we close? Or does it really make no difference at all?

If you wan the card to say you are a DVC member then it matters if not then no need to change it. There are certain discounts you get for being a DVC member that will keep you from having to show another form of DVC Memebership ID though (that is, I think it would).

Makes me wonder if they cross referenced at all with DVC MS.

Is this the Disney Rewards credit card? And somehow it ties in to our upcoming DVC membership? Is this something I should consider looking into also?

I have two questions about the rewards dollars and the pin(s). First, aren't we supposed to receive a pin or two the first time we use the card? Has anyone received this and how long did it take?

Second, my first month I charged $144 (next month will be an eye opener). Well, I received $1 on the statement. Do they always round down? I would have thought they could make it $1.44. Thanks.

I am guessing at the amount, but I think I have $92 of rewards. I used it for an add-on last month. The best of both worlds.:smooth:

I earned 48 last month--I had to get a new transmission! I've pretty much been charging all of my regular purchases and paying off the full balance when the bill comes in. I''m hoping that the DVC member will eliminate needing to pull out the DVC card when I shop at the Disney store or to get discounts where applicable while shopping and dining at Disney. Until I have tested this theory though I will bring both with me!

Having "DVC" printed on the card proved helpful for me last week. I forgot that we get a 10% discount at Portobella Yacht Club and the server deducted the 10% off when he read my Disney/Bank One card! Other than that, I doubt there will be any DVC only perks. So far, the only perks are for travel packages the DVC members would probably not even use.

OKWKirt, yes I received the pin very shortly after first using the card. It's a very nice pin, too!

Are you saying that we get a pin when we use our disney rewareds credit card? I haven't had mine for a full month yet so I don't know how many points I have yet.... Can't wait to see my first bill with the points on it...:earsgirl:

Yes, after you make your first purchase with your disney card, you get a pin. However, in saying this, I do not know if this was a limited time offer. Hopefully, you will get it; it is a very nice pin.

My DH and I received our pins about 3-4 weeks after the close of the first month we used the card. It is a nice pin, especially for our DD who collects pins. However, I thought the pin was a special offer if you applied for the credit card by a certain time. We applied as part of the "member since day 1". There was an opportunity to place your order for early application.

As far as DVC, I haven't noticed any additional benefits to DVC members except for the fun of having it on your card.

We try to use our cards for most everything since our motivation is to have "reward dollars" to pay for part of our park tickets each time we visit. What a great deal!!!!!:earsgirl:

We received our pin about 6 weeks after the initial usage.

As far as Disney Rewards dollars, we've got about 30-35 if I remember correctly right now.

I do the same things as far as using it instead of my checkcard. I also use it for work and get reimbursed for the purchases. But, at the same time I'm earning Disney dollars :p

So far for my first month, I have 87 reward dollars and hubby has 50 on his. Not too shabby. (we are using them to pay for DVC) Hopefully we will get a few free dinners out of this for our October trip;)

One of my questions was BankOne rounding off your monthly total when calculating your rewards dollars. Probably when I receive my next monthly statement this will be apparent. In my case my statement was $144 and I received $1. Do they always round down and has anyone contacted them to find out why we don't receive the full 1%? I would have thought my amount would be $1.44. I'm actually not looking forward to my next statement because it will be high. Thanks.

I believe it says in the Disney Rewards paperwork that they round down if it is under .50 and round up if it is over .50.

It will be interesting to see our first statement as well.. Yikes!!!

The Disney Reward Dollars are rounded to the nearest whole dollar. Anything above $50 is rounded up. It has worked to our advantage so far. We currently have $101 Reward Dollars. We've been busy with house remodeling and one small add-on at VWL.

Warning - pay this card's balance off in full each month. The interest and fees associated with this card are on the high side.

Mine is 0% for 6 months. Isn't everybody's?

Mine is 0% for 6 months as well. After that it goes to 9 something... which still is better than some of my old cards. They were like 18-21%, yikes...

Hi All,
We sort of "cheated" to pile up reward points. We took a home loan to pay off DVC. We paid off DVC with our card then used our home loan to pay off the card. (much lower interest rate) We also received our pin really quick but only one.

Is everyone here using their Disney Visa card to pay for their monthly points in DVC? I was told today that they only accept direct debit from a checking or savings account. I would like to use my Disney Visa and earn points. Any suggestions?:earsgirl:
