After many attempts by Disney/Chase to win my credit card business I finally took the offer yesterday. My DW and I have been receiving the $200 offer for many months now so we are currently waiting on the new Toy Story design cards:thumbsup2

Are there restrictions on what I can purchase and get points for? Right now I run a bunch of money of my other rewards credit card that is a Bank of America card. We do all of our groceries and many other normal bills on the card and pay it off the same day as the purchase. Does that work with the Disney Chase card? Just looking for some advice before I get my new cards.

Our plan is to be back in The World in early June of 2011

I hope you don't mind if I jump in here with you!
I always wondered if you could pay it off the same day and get the points or if you have to leave the balance on there for a certain amount of time.
I also wondered if you could use the GC for paying on a resort reservation?

For every $100 you spend (regardless of what it's on) you get 1 Disney point which is equivalent to $1 and can be used like cash almost anywhere in any Disney resort, online at DisneyStore.com or DisneyWorld.com and in the Disney stores themselves.

Every so often Disney/Chase will run specials like "Earn 3x or 5x as many Disney points." The catch is you need to usually spend over a certain amount (usually $500 or $700).

When you're ready to redeem your rewards, you can order a Disney Rewards Points Card, or...what ever it's called, and it's like a credit card and you use like that cash. When you get more points you need to use, you can instantly transfer the points to the card online at this link.

Any other questions??

You can charge absolutely anything. Yes you can use the reward points to put a deposit on a WDW vacation - even if it's not booked directly though Disney. A Travel Agent can apply your rewards points to a package or room reservation for you.

As far as paying it off & getting yout points the same day, no, you cannot. Your points will only be available AFTER your cycle end end, regardless of when it's paid. We had a large purchase on the card in mid-February & paid it off 10 days early in hopes of getting the points instantly to use the last week of Feb. in WDW. Our billing cycle end date was 3/6 - and the points were not available until then. I called to see if there was any way to get the points released early & they could not do it.

The only place in WDW that we were unable to redeem the rewards points was the funnel cake kiosk in the America Pavillion in Epcot's WS.

So if you pay it off right away you still get the points credited to you they are just not available to you until the end of the cycle? I never know if you have to carry the balance until the end of the cycle or something.

We actually used our Disney Visa to pay our taxes this year, then paid it off soon after. That ended up being a nice chunk of rewards dollars for our last Disney trip.

Try not to hold a balance for more than 10 days. That is what I do and I have never paid interest.
