Disney Rewards Visa Card from Chase??

I got mine in about a week. It was quicker than I expected. But once you get your credit card, you need to send for a rewards card to get the rewards points, so I don't know if you would be able to use the rewards points in two weeks. Have a great trip

You have to wait until the end of the first billing cycle to access your reward points. And yes, you can pick up the rewards card at Downtown Disney - which is what I did.

I like my Disney Visa. Getting 1% back in rewards dollars is pretty standard as rewards cards go. Some cards give 5% back on certain types of purchases - but I'm perfectly happy with this one. I also like the extra "perks" that one can get - like a nice discount on tours at WDW, and sometimes freebies.

Ask yourself if you really need a credit card? If you feel that you can afford to have a credit card, then I would go for it. You can use it for Christmas shopping or for your upcoming trip. So far I've earned $29. My trip to WDW is in December 2007, so I'll have plenty of time to earn more Disney $. I'll use my Disney Rewards for a nice suvineer.

Wow, and you don't have to call it in and wait for several weeks to recieve your Reward Card? That is awesome!!!

A stupid question on something mentioned here and in other CC threads......

What is the point of paying off your CC bill on a weekly basis if they don't charge you interest until a couple weeks after the billing cycle ends?

I do that simply because I put EVERYTHING on here - bills, expenses - we're building a house right now - so, construction costs!! - our points are racking up dramatically!!

However, paying it off weekly keeps me in better check of my spending. I'm afraid if I let it go too far without checking it , I would way overspend and then not have the money at the end of the month to pay it off.

Disney visa only gives 1% back on all your purchases I have a 5% back on gas, groceries and drugstore card from citicard that I use for those purchases. It makes no sense to me to use the disney card for those items when my other card will pay more and I can use the cash (gift card if you select that credit card instead of the cash one) for disney. So yes the disney card is a good deal if you do go to disney but I believe you are getting less reward money then you could if you are using this card for purchaes you can get 5% back for with other cards. I mean think about it you spend 100 dollars on gas this month if you use your disney card you get 1 disney dollar so basically a buck if you use the 5% card you get $5. So basically you are losing 4 dollars for each $100 purchase you make in this category and believe me it adds up!!

I read somewhere else that you can but a disney gift card to use on your vacation with your Disney Visa and earn the points for it to. For instance, I could buy a gift card for $500, use that to pay for the dining plan and get 5 reward points as well. Does anyone know if that works?

Just curious... do you have an annual fee?

Yes and no. You can buy the gift card and use it in Disney and get your points but the front desks at the hotels can not take the gift card yet ( found this out the hard way a few weeks ago). You can use a gift card at the restuarants or gift shops but not to pay for the dining plan at the front desk. The front desk will accept disney dollars to pay for the dining plan. Hope that helps.
