Disney Rewards Discount

Earlier this year (just after our Disney trip) we received (both hubby and I) Visa incentives. We each received $200 gift card for opening a Visa credit card and spending XXX amount within the first 3 months. Piece of cake! Just purchased groceries with it and paid it off when the bill arrived and now we have those gift cards to use toward our January 2016 trip. Plus a few reward $$$ for misc purchases throughout the year. I also noticed that you receive 10% off from select restaurants and it applies to our favorite one!!! Another perk was the 10% at the Disney stores with a purchase of $50 or more.

My question is how does this discount work if we use or magic bands? Will the 10% off come off at the end of our stay when we charge everything to the Visa (on those that offer the 10% discount) or should I pay with the Visa right then and there at the select discount restaurants/stores?

We typically pay cash at the end of our stay for what we charged on the magic bands so trying to figure out what is best for our next trip.

You have to pay with the actual Disney Visa card at the restaurant or store to get the discount. No discount for MagicBand purchases however you end up paying it off.

Yup. Take your card with you and plan to use it, not your MagicBand. They have no way to know what CC is on your MDE account via MagicBand so using the actual card is the only way to process the discount.

You need to use your Disney VISA card OR your VISA rewards card at the restaurant to pay. ALSO they will not automatically deduct the discount; you need to tell them that you want the Disney VISA discount applied to your bill. I usually carry around a print-out from the Chase/Disney rewards website, just in case a server hasn't heard of this. (This happened to us once at Boma. Hey- 10% is 10&!!)

Yup, you definitely need to use the physical card in order to get the discount. Luckily, I read that here before our last trip or we would have missed out.
