Disney rewards card

Hello! I put the $200 down payment on a Disney trip in March with a Disney rewards card with nearly 500 Disney rewards dollars from my Visa.

If I wanted to alter my plans and get an annual pass, or for any reason change/cancel my reservation, do the rewards points return to the card? How does that refund work?

Disney always refunds to whatever form of payment that you used (i.e. credit card payments get refunded to the credit card, gift card payments go back on the GC used). The money would go back on your rewards card.
