My card expires on 12/09 and we are have a trip coming up in Oct. If I don't use all the reward points up by 12/09 do they expire or do I get a new card with the existing points still on it?

If they do expire, is there a way to get a new card before I transfer the points with a "more future" exp date?

Currently the card is empty and I was going to reload, if that make a difference.

Thanks

You should be able to order a new card, this one will have an expiration date into 2010 so you have a little more time. You will lose any points on a card that expires if you do not use them all. I ordered a rewards card a month or so ago and it does not expire until Dec 2010.

As PP said, order a new card and you will have a year or so to use the points.

I do not re-use a card simply because, once I transfer points, I do not want to risk losing even 1 because the card expires before I can use them.

Also, I only transfer what I know will be used. You can always transfer more later if you need them. Once you have the new card, it's just a matter of calling to transfer the points.

How do I go about re-ordering a card? Do I need to call or can it be done on the chase web site, if so, can you try and direct me? I went on and don't see it.

Thanks again, I will reorder.

If I was to transfer points right now do they ask if I want a new card or just put the points on the old one.

I like to use my reward cards to actually pay for the trip. You call disney and use it like a credit card. I don't know how many points that you have, but I was able to use all my points and not even worry about bringing the rewards card with me to orlando.

The other option I would use is to use it to pay the balance off your purchases from your room key. That way you use the card once or twice. I couldn't imagine trying to keep up with small purchases.

Good Luck

The last time I used the rewards card the bottom of the receipt always had my balance printed. I always knew how much I had left on it.
I ordered mine off the chase website under the rewards tab.
I also only transfered some not all. I did that because you can only transfer in 10 dollar increments and I wanted to be able to transfer all of the points right before I leave.
