Disney Reward Dollars in the parks?

We've been going to Disney since May of 1982 and you'd think I'd know the answer to this question...... However, most of the times we spend reward dollars from the redemption card, we were gift shopping -- clothes, etc.

This trip maybe our last visit to Disney World and we'll have quite a large amount of $ on the card that we should use. And once DH has the dollars put on the card, there's an expiration date.

I have a couple possibilities in mind, but it's too late to use them to pay for tickets/room/etc. because that's all taken care of already.

Can they be used at counter service restaurants? I've heard that you can't use them at the "carts" like the ones selling popcorn, bottled water, etc.

Thanks for shedding a little light on this for us. Many thanks!!

Yes, they can be used at CS restaurants. I used them at Food and Wine kiosks. I believe wherever there are the reader/scanners, you can use the rewards card. The food carts/ice cream carts etc. do have the readers.

Thanks very much. I was thinking about Food and Wine (which will be going on the whole week we're there) and had never used anything but cash at the kiosks. :-)
DH checked the Disney Rewards web site and it said basically anywhere that a credit card can be used -- both dining and shopping. I was also surprised at the list of places at Downtown Disney. We went there a lot when we lived in FL, if we didn't have time for a park day and that will come in handy!!
