Disney+ revival of Daredevil

yes! I missed that the first time, then when watching the Easter eggs vlogs etc, someone mentioned. Interested to see why and how she'll be involved in all of this....Then also, Karen's source. Which I know from trailers she'll be in it, but liked the introduction. First episode was really good, fast moving, engrossing, so looking forward to the season. It'll probably slow down some like the first season, but so far, so good.

Wait what are y'all talking about. I guess I missed that, too. I don't recall being shocked by anyone's name being mentioned over the phone. Feel free to hide the info under a spoiler, if you think that might ruin it for someone. I just don't want to re-watch the episode!

It was...
During the phone call in Kingpin's office, the guy called her "Ms. Fontaine" - AKA Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine - i.e. Julia Louis Dreyfuss's character - head of the CIA and runner of the Thunderbolts.

Have you watched previous seasons (either Netflix of Born Again season 1?

Bullseye is "Dex" Poindexter, the former FBI Sniper who was the "fake Daredevil" in the Netflix show and who shot up the ball at the end of Born Again season 1. He also...EXTRA EXTRA SPOILER ...is the one who killed Foggy in the first episode of Born Again. To note, they rarely call him that in the show, but Bullseye is Daredevil's classic arch-nemesis in the comic books.

I haven't seen any other Daredevil vehicles, including the allegedly bad movies. For comic books, I was more into Fantastic Four (not that I remember anything that I read way back then). Is the Netflix series worth a look?

Isn't the guy who killed Foggy in jail or dead? I guess I have to read some summaries of the first season to remind myself what the heck is going on.

Born Again picks up on the same continuity as the Netflix series and it has all the same actors. The old Netflix series were sort of quasi-canon beforehand, but they have integrated them into the MCU now. I wouldn't say that you have to watch it, but if you are enjoying Born Again, then you'd probably like it (other characters are going to show up too). It has a slightly different vibe, but it's a quality show.

As for the story beats....
In Born Again season 1, Dex goes to jail after shooting Foggy (and Matt holds back on beating him to death). Toward the end of the season though, he escapse and crashes Kingpin's ball. He tries to shoot Fisk, but Matt takes the bullet instead. So, Bullseye is out - and now is apparently helping Daredevil - or at least taking it to Fisk's Task Force.
