Disney Restaurants with a feeding tube

My son has a feeding tube. Are we required to pay for him at the buffets if he's not going to eat anything?

Yes, but it can be removed at the discretion of the serve You may be charged a small fee for entertainment.

Unfortunately, yes, you should plan to pay at buffet meals based on your son's age. As Talking Hands indicated, that charge may be waived, but consider it pixie-dust if that happens and don't expect it to be waived. If your party is considering using the DDP, WDW will require you to purchase it for your son as well, even if he is unable to eat.

My suggestion - either avoid buffets and eat at restaurants offering a menu for individual orders. Or if you really want to see the dinner shows and/or characters meals, try to think of it as the price of a show ticket with free food, rather than thinking of it as the cost of the meal with entertainment.

my dd also has a feeding tube and is deaf-blind.We went to disney world this past august and we did not have to pay for her at any of the character buffets.They also did not charge us any extra fees.I explained when checking in that she would not be eating because she is tube fed.They were very understanding and even made her princess of the day at cinderella's castle which was very unexpecting. This made our day! My dd was so happy! Have A wonderful trip!

The last time my daughter was at Disney (2005) we did not pay for any buffets for her. We did not do any entertainment dinners (ie hoop de doo), but would have expected to pay for her there. We went to Crystal Palace, Chef Mickeys, Ohana....
She is clearly disabled, and cannot even have a taste of food. I do hope we won't be paying for her buffets this trip, we have a couple planned.
