We are trying to choose our restaurants before Dec 1st. Have a picky DS 8 who loves grilled cheese, hotdogs, chicken nuggets, and pb and J. The healthy options for meals will not suffice him. any suggetsions? And yes we have the basic dining plan

So far we have the following...
Le Cellier EP
The Plaza MK
Via napoli
Ohana(even though the bad reviews have me second guessing).
1900 Park Fare Cinderella's happily ever after dinner
Chef mickey's (breakfast)
possibly Brown derby but not sure

princess:DS6, pirate:DS8, :tinker::donald:

Check the kids menus at the restaurants you want to go to. Because you're on the dining plan and he is under 10 he will have to order from the kids menus. Fortunately, most of the restaurants have that type of kids menu...chicken nuggets, hot dogs, pbj (usually Smuckers Uncrustables at CS) etc. 1900 Park Fare and Chef Mickey's are buffets.

You will be fine with the buffets as the kids sections provide all the typical kid food and he can choose his own. He is also not restricted to the children's section of the buffet, should something on the main spread appeal to him. With the other TS restaurants, many of them are able to provide the basics like mac n chees, nuggets and PB&J, even if it is not listed on the menu.

If your DS likes this type of fare, the kids selections at the CS are going to be right up his street.

We have three boys, and our pickiest eater is a little older than your son. He finds something he likes at nearly every WDW restaurant, and is on a mission to try every mac and cheese offered at Disney!

Of your list, he is already down on Via Napoli because the pizza is a more traditional Italian pizza. We're going there anyway on our next trip, but he's not crazy about that idea. And he does not like the regular offerings at Ohana one bit. During our last Ohana meal in March (we skipped it for our July trip) they did not automatically bring kids' items, so we had to ask. The items (mac and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc.) were included in the price, but we did have to request them individually. I think all the others on your list should also have something for a picky eater.

A few other tips from our picky eater: he loves the mac and cheese at California Grill and the burgers on the kids' menu at Chef's de France. He is also a huge Liberty Tree Tavern and Garden Grill fan (although you may need to make special requests there too, now that they changed the kids' items.)

And a warning: he really dislikes the "meaty macaroni" featured on many WDW kids' menus. It has a weak red sauce and way too many onions for his taste. Other than that, most kids' menu items have worked for him. (And he's now a "Disney adult," but since we don't use the dining plan, all the TS restaurants still let him order kids' meals. He just pays full adult price at the fixed price TS, like Garden Grill.)

Good luck!!

Oh I hear you! Your son actually eats more than my DS7. My DS will only eat chicken nuggets, hot dogs, peanut butter sandwiches (no jelly), and fish sticks. With that said, you should have no problem at Le Cellier, 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, and the Hollywood Brown Derby. We've eaten at all of those places without a problem. Ohana's may be tough and I don't know about Via Napoli or The Plaza.

Good luck! I keep trying to add to DS's food list, but he is rather tough. My DD10, on the other hand, will eat anything and everything!
